I wonder if people that listen this and thinks is just like Green Light did even know anything about music 

 

It have a different tempo, synths program, completely different song structure. At most, it aims at a similar mood.

 

It's almost like people can't listen Lorde using synths in a upbeat song anymore without getting basic and start talking about how it's a Melodrama demo.

I don't quite get the Green Light comparisons I'm seeing in here (but GL is also one of the best lead singles of all time, so I hold it in too high regard to compare other songs to it )

I don't know if it sounds crazy, but more than reminding me of Green Light, it reminds me of My My My by Troye. 

I love it. It's refreshing yet familiar in all the best ways, likely because it's something only she could deliver. I'm so hyped for the new album.

It doesn't sound terrible but that noise that plays during the chorus really brings the song down. It's just so weird sounding. Like out of place.

It definitely has very similar elements to the production of Melodrama, it's not just "synths in an upbeat song". Regardless, I agree without you. It doesn't automatically deem it a Melodrama reject.

Melodrama is in my top 10 most played albums of all time and this is not true 💀
 

The "swirl" effect in the chorus of WWT can literally be heard in hard feelings. So let's be honest here 💀

 

Either way I have no problem with it sounding that it fits melodrama, that's what most wanted for solar power, including myself so I'm happy the song would fit the album, because that album is excellence! 
 

So far, on first listen it feels more like a deluxe track but it might be a grower; I didn't vibe with green light at first and now it's one of my favorites.

 

The video is cute and they ate with that work ethic to edit it so quickly.
