this will grow on people for sure. it has enough pop structure and melody. it does feel like more of the same though, i can tell this album will be at the same level as her previous ones.

This feels like an unpolished (production wise) of Green Light! Like she made different lyrics around the green light beat and edited it with less stuff added

I loved it! Will we expect to be in TTH update from tonight?

Basic ass ******* cant rel8

THIS IS NOTHING LIKE MELODRAMA PURE HEROINE OR SOLAR POWER

gurl, not the video being that :jonny: what is she going for this era with the aesthetic? I finally understand why iPhones rock and social media isn't all that bad? :dies:

I think she just no longer has a budget cause the Solar Power era had 7 proper music videos and the era still tanked

That's my exact thought :dies:  Universal really gave up on her after the aesthetics for Solar Power.

not trying to come for you but i'm interested in you explaining how does this song sounds like green light at all…

Lorde is one of the best writers of longing we have right now. It reminds me very much of Ribs and I'm confident it will have a life just as rich with the public. Give it time.

It is a melodrama-family of products ofc but that's just because it's synth bedroom pop. You cannot say that Ulysses and Mrs. Dalloway are the same book just because both were written with similar techniques. It sounds much more like Robyn by way of Lorde than anything else.

People turning on Nigro is very predictable and has nothing to do with Lorde whatsoever rather than a weird dichotomy between a Jack camp and a Nigro camp that is ultimately untrue and helps no one to make new music

Calling this boring while hyping up Lana's musical melatonin…

Don't go in that direction, Lana is something different at this point, no one is doing music like her, so shut up

THIS IS EVERYTHINGGGG :jonny: not sure if it's because I am always the age she was when she writes her music that it finally gets released or what but she ALWAYS knows how to describe what I'm feeling or experiencing. It's insane.

Was in the grocery store on first listen and now I'm just frozen looping it in the parking lot. LORDEEEEEEEEEE.

HOW CAN I BE SURPRISED EVEN AFTER LISTENING TO ALL THE SNIPPETS YESTERDAY?????? LOL

Really shocked to see Dev not on the credits. The pre chorus is so melodically Blood Orange? I can't wait to hear what he did contribute to for this album.

Song was alright, not strong but not bad, but the video was a hot mess lol I hope the visual of the era won't be all like this.
