I hope they're right, this is quite possibly my favorite Miley album and the idea of the Something Beautiful universe being expanded is so exciting to me 

I forgot what his @ was but he was right about everything else this era (tracklist, features, listening events etc)  he got suspended after leaking the tracklist though

She mentioned in one of her podcast interviews that it was because she used her own money and had complete freedom to experiment. Just the whole positive memory of creating that album. In a way it provided her the foundation to create ESV and SB

 I guess I can see her liking it for it being a freeing process creatively with no expectations but just fun. Most of the songs just felt like her speaking to the music and trying to make something of it whether it be funny (bb talk) or trying to be serious (tangerine). You can definitely tell her age by this album. 
 

I'll continue stanning from she is coming/plastic hearts onward tho

Space boots is legitimately great give it another chance. 

 

Nice to see the The Climb/We Can't Stop transition being praised, it was genius, but she sounded so great NBLAH. Need more people to show some love for that too!

The show having more views first day than the entire SB album had streams in its first day  People really had/have no clue she released an album, huh

I hope she doesn't take a long break after the permanence of big album   I love experimental eras. 

 

this part is so chaotic

-talks about singing older songs, then sings Angels Like You...

-the sudden cut to the chorus

-her thanking Paris for a billion streams when it smashed in SEA. Go thank the Philippines Miley!

-the guy singing the ad lib at the end

No because I completely agree, and it's honestly so odd...The Spotify show was incredible.

 

I do think the general public massively loves her, and she definitely has a huge nostalgia fanbase and people of all ages still casually listen to her (especially her last albums), they include her in playlists, enjoy her presence, but they're not necessarily invested. They're not buying albums or streaming her music on repeat the way a hardcore fanbase would. And that's what's so strange to me, because Miley's always come across as one of the most down-to-earth, approachable celebrities. She's never felt out of reach...But maybe this era does feel a bit unapproachable (not her personally), but the focus on aesthetic, the costumes, the elevated visuals… It's beautiful, but maybe it's created a kind of distance.

 

I don't know, I might be way off here too, but something about it feels like it didn't fully connect the way it should've...Which sucks, because the music is amazing.

This album is great. I'm not a success Stan so I idgaf personally that this flopped so hard, but I hope Miley isn't discouraged. She mentioned multiple times in interviews that she was really going for it with this album and obviously her efforts were not met with the reception it deserved.

 

And I really, really, really hope we get the deluxe tracks  but I'm not confident we're getting them after what's transpired

Yeah I need the DELUXE so badly, and hope she will do the backyard sessions, the general public will finally hear the masterpiece as golden burning sun cause for some reason they refuse to listen to new Miley's music as they think it's "too experimental" while it's so summery and dreamy

Honestly do think the deluxe has been shelved unfortunately. Like some of you said, I truuuuly hope so badly this doesn't discourage her from continuing with the artistic direction she took with this stellar project.

I don't think Miley will ever be discouraged from experimenting, but I do wonder if Columbia will pressure her to release something more commercial next. It'll be interesting to see where she goes from here.

 

And I sadly agree that the deluxe was probably shelved. The album just didn't do what was expected and the team probably decided to cut their losses.
