Is she still signed to Columbia? I thought this project is her last with them for some reason. Especially after seeing her shading her label multiple times this era.

A more commercial standalone single would be fine. I hope they don't make her shelve the next album, especially since it's supposed to be even more experimental. She seemed really excited about it.

She said there will be huge shift at the start of the next year for her career and she also mentioned her album will be more experimental and it's already almost done, so it's interesting if she'll go independent or it will be "separate" release from Columbia records under "Smiley Miley" inc.

I don't see her leaving Columbia anytime soon, she's only released two albums with them so far. 

 

It's been a very messy campaign, but I feel like ESV would have had a poor chart run had it not been for Flowers being huge.

 

I just wish she would live in the moment rather than putting decent tracks from 3 years ago as singles, End Of The World is good but Easy Lover is one of her worst single choices

5-6 minute songs do not need extended versions, bffr 

 

I would have eaten these edits up if they were released during album release week. The reason this album aged poorly for me is the unnecessary long intros & outros on some of the songs. A shame the rollout has been terrible

I'm sorry but who asked for this? These are terrible and lazy. I get maybe stripping the intros and outros since they are mostly there for transitions but the fact that some of those edits actually cut out the lyrics is just...

 

Give us the deluxe or move on.

And I sadly agree that the deluxe was probably shelved. The album just didn't do what was expected and the team probably decided to cut their losses.

Tbf commerciality is not what's lacking on this album. The whole roll out and scattered promotion of songs just makes no sense and basically left it doa.

End of the World not being one of this year's defining songs is criminal.

 

Also, was the deluxe scrapped?

this album is so commercial tho more to lose, end of the world, easy lover were made for the radio and such powered songs also reborn could have such a good pop treatment
