Midnights is better than Red. Agree? 

Red is messy while Midnights is consistent.

The Red title track alone washes anything on MIDnights, let us not

In no world does Midnights top an album with State of Grace, Red, Treacherous, All Too Well, The Last Time, Holy Ground, Sad Beautiful Tragic, Begin Again, Better Man, Nothing New, and Forever Winter.

Red could've used some trimming, I will admit that. But there is a solid 12-track album in there.

If this was me talking in 2023, I would disagree. But after re-listening to all the albums last year, I can definitely say Midnights >> Red

Only 3 albums are either better or on the same level as Red in her discography and sadly Midnights is not one of them. 

 

Huge fan of Midnights though, but Red just has waaaaaaaaaaay too many career highlights (the most of her entire discography).

And has a holy trinity of "All Too Well", "State of Grace" and "Red" which is eons above anything you'll find on Midnights (other than Anti-Hero)

I gotta admit I had forgotten about Vanessa At Home, so that would make MIAB the 3rd worst song on Red. My bad. 

Red has career highlights like ATW and Begin Again but, is not as interesting and well thought out a concept as Midnights especially 3AM tracks.
