If you follow, or at least remotely grasp, Britney's decision to retire, you wouldn't be asking that question, but since it seems some of you can't put two and two together, this is the Sony/RCA legacy division working on these anniversary editions; they own the unreleased material and its masters, hence the decision to master these demos for official release. Just because Britney chose to retire doesn't mean RCA can't release the Britney material they own. I hope that helps!

That's factually incorrect. The disclosed agreement included only officially released material up to that point: studio albums, remixes, features, and tracks Britney wrote for other artists. Any future releases by Sony/RCA aren't part of the deal, including previously unreleased material and new remixes; so, in this case, Britney will get royalties for the bonus tracks on this anniversary edition and any previously unreleased material RCA releases in the future. Also, Sony/RCA still own Britney's masters, so that tweet shared a few pages ago is also misleading.

How exactly are these releases deceiving when RCA is still Britney's label, and Britney will get money from the tracks previously unavailable in streaming?
