Which one faced faced the BIGGEST hate train?

Britney, and it's not close. 

Sadly I think Britney is the only right answer.  

Britney, by far. She suffered real life consequences because of it. Her freedom was unjustly taken away. Doesn't get worse than that. 

Britney Spears, though I think Janet Jackson comes close

 

And if you stretch the definition of "MPG" a lot, Rebecca Black 

Britney by media, general public and gay fanbases. Everyone were against her, poor girl

MPG's these days get a bunch of mean comments online from nobodies but back in the day they were getting ripped to shreds by mainstream outlets.

 

Which is why Katy Perry's backlash feels kinda massive, though it's hard to call it a "hate train" when it's warranted 

Katy's 143 era really set the standard lower than ever with the media and the critics tbh, I haven't seen one positive article about her since she released WW.

 

2007's Britney for the GP tho.

Definitely Britney... everything she did back then was scrutinized/ridiculed.

Rihanna had a few big spaced out hate train moments that could've culminated in a full on one, but I think late 2012 was the closest she got to a big one. Taylor has been having one this year, and she also had one back in the pre-Reputation era. Katy has one right now, who knows how long it'll last tbh. I feel like Gaga had a major one during Artpop but with her hiatus she was able to recalibrate what would be best for her career, and fortunately  she was able to get back into her groove

 

I believe Taylor will be able to survive almost any hate train that could be thrown her way atp

 

Britney and Janet though… those were on a completely different level than everything else
