Painfully boring and doesn't really go anywhere. Maybe third times the charm?

It's not a bad song, but it's so generic.

 

It's like someone put Katy Perry through a hot wash too many times and she's come out a bit thinned out and faded. 

 

I actually think this is a huge upgrade from Woman's World. Sure, the lyrics are very basic, but at least it's a bop. Unfortunately, the entire song sounds like it's on one level and it doesn't go up or down, if that makes sense. Will I dance to it when I hear it? Yes. But I don't think I'll be actively listening to it on my own. It's just not that memorable.

I gave it one stream and thats it. On YT so the stream wont probaly even count... meh . Im gonna stream the album to listen to Nirvana but its clear the album will be a flop regardless. Too much hate for all the tone deaf career moves. Lifetimes only verse what was that and yeah i was not excited after hearing that chorus in too many snippets before release .... ironic that she called an artist a throwback now she is one for her teenage dream era.

I mean, it's definitely an improvement over WW (still a basic song), but I don't think the GP (the twitter gays, or whatever her public is) will check it out after that colossal disaster. They should've gone with this as the first single as there was hunger for her comeback

It's very ...London circa 2015/16. I don't hate it.

I am really sorry to say this, but this is probably the worst single that Katy ever released.

 

It is not bad as a song per se, it is nice to listen to it, but it is so devoid of personality and it it so... unnecessary that it is painful.

 

Woman's World, no matter its perception, still feels like a Katy song. Limetimes could have been from anyone.

 

And it is sad because she excelled in these types of songs several times already. Walking On Air is legendary. When I'm Gone is pretty great. But this... is just there.

I'm also of the opinion that they could've done more with this, both the song and the video.

 

But at the same time I'm kinda obsessed?  Like it's so catchy I couldn't listen to anything else today, it's always on my mind. Same with the video, she looks AMAZING and looks to genuinely be feeling good and having the time of her life, it's addictive. Was never an Ibiza type of guy but this makes me wanna do it.

not wanting her to work with alleged rapists and produce music that doesn't sound like 2015 leftovers isn't really having high expectations tbh, though your point does stand generally. 

I'm not going to say I'm surprised because lame is the only word I can use to describe this song and 90% of Katy's discography.

 

This is some 2014 EDM production with lame lyrics.

True. There's another thing I want to point out: who in the mainstream music is making innovative, never heard before songs? Cmon let's be real! Why do people always expect this only from Katy if they have such low artistry consideration of her? Make it makes sense
