YSPSFAGSIL outsold Sabrina's peak. Why?
Double the amount of vinyl variants in the 2020s is a huge difference. Let's not act obtuse. Vinyls becoming popular collectibles are the reason physical sales have had a comeback.

YSPSFAGSIL outsold Sabrina's peak. Why?
Makes more sense to compare streaming equivalent units. Sorry but Olivia had like 30 variants for this album. So her physical sales are very inflated the first week specifically

Spotify | you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love | Day 16: 28.2m
I only see it having one more week above 20M consistently

CBS journalist: Taylor and Travis have donated $26M to 20 charities
It's so interesting to praise a billionaire for donating a meaningless amount of money to them as some great philanthropic act. Elon Musk donating $100M as a trillionaire wouldn't be meaningful when he's still hoarding the rest.

Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce invited Amentum executive and ICE contractor Steve J.
Genuinely, do you guys know how weddings work? People do not just send out invites to people they don't know. It is literally THE most intentional day for any couple. They are not doing things Willy nilly. A LOT of time and consideration goes into the guest list. Like what are these posts. "I'd invite my childhood best friend and his family" lmao who tf would do this unless you're still currently friends with them and the family? What purpose would you have inviting your childhood best friends family?? Genuinely insane posts to defend her

Spotify USA: Enormous boosts for July 4
Firework has nothing to do with the US. It just mentions 4th of July

Spotify | Katy Perry - Watch It Burn | Day 18: 315,730 streams
Katy hasn't had a hit song in over a decade according to you guys yet somehow it makes sense she's above Gaga even though Gaga just released music for a hit movie? What hiatus when she released music months ago

K-pop Thread: TWICE chaos at JYP? Who’s in, who’s out?
I said it's everything I expected Lemonade to be, aka a continuation of the house (?) sound without being a copy of Whiplash and sounding more mature. I don't want aespa to continue to sound like aespa. That's why Lemonade is literally whiplash 2.0. There's no progression of music. Metronome sounds 20x more mature than lemonade. I can't get into lemonade really because it sounds too junvenile. The I'll make you lemonade part sounds like a kids choir it's so grating

K-pop Thread: TWICE chaos at JYP? Who’s in, who’s out?
I just heard the Metronome song by Izna (?) and all I want to say is THAT is everything I expected Lemonade to be. Wow, that is truly a 10/10 song. I'm gagged.

Spotify | you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love | Day 16: 28.2m
Because it's based on global chart not unfiltered count and it had 6 songs not charting

Katy Perry - "Watch It Burn"
I don't think bandaid lyrics are great. They're very vague and don't actually paint a picture. It's the issue with most recent Katy songs. You can see why songs like TOTGA clicks and why bandaids doesn't when you just listen to the lyrics. TOTGA paints a picture. It explains WHY he's the one that got away. It gives specific memories (making out/singing Radiohead/talking about their future), specific things done together (matching tattoos), etc. then the second verse is all the aftermath (tattoo removed / saw singing blues / no longer his muse). Katy's songs no longer do this imo and it's her problem. Everything is so vague, generic, and high level. Nothing is granular anymore. So no one listening to these songs is able to listen to it, close their eyes, and picture what the song is supposed to mean or represent. When I listen to TOTGA I can actually visualize the song and the pain in my head based on the story told through the lyrics. This is where she's failed the most and why she doesn't connect with audiences. I literally cannot tell why her relationship with Orlando fell apart just by listening to these songs because the lyrics are just so generic and tell me nothing.

Katy Perry - "Watch It Burn"
I think it's the opposite. She's uneducated and it's very obvious in her song writing. You can tell why her lyrics are always bad when you watch her interviews and she thinks quoting some generic TikTok philosophical quote makes her deep
