Because… it is? Kpop acts can debut at #1 on the BB200 with 0 fame in the US outside the Kpop sphere. It's not impressive. Those same acts won't even chart on US Spotify or AM despite being #1 on BB200. It's not a measure of popularity. Just fanbase for those kind of acts.

I fully believe the issue with polling is as someone said earlier -- if polls are too positive then certain people are going to NOT vote because they didn't really want to vote for either way. If you see the vote is close and you "have" to vote the lesser of two evils you will. But if you feel like you can sit it out, the lesser wins, and you can feel like you didn't contribute to the current mess then you also will. Polling that is too positive encourages people their vote wont matter because that person will win anyways.
