This just feels like an edm from song from like 2011-2015, nothing special about it. 

When I'm Gone was much better and catchier..

I dont mind her working with whoever she wants, but it has to be extremely catchy and this ain't it. I even prefer woman's world. This is just OK nothing special. I thought her material would be super catchy and so far it hasn't delivered. 

Has anyone expected something more than dated, basic EDM song? It would change nothing and Katy would flop into oblivion

This is very Walking on Air, which everyone wanted her to release as a single. I like it!

Didn't she explain it in some recent interview? She tells her daughter to love her in all her lifetimes or something... basically to love her in every life, this one, past one and in all the future ones.

Witness didn't "flop" it underperformed and that's as largely due to Katy's image at the time not the music. A lot of people liked the music. 

As a Katy pre - Smile fan, and OWWH, I was actually excited for this cause it sounded like a cute carefree bop. But WHAT THE ****. I wasn't expecting this much blandness. I went from bopping to feeling stuck in an endless loop. It was awful. The repetitive lame ass lyrics. The monotone delivery throughout the whole song. The fact that she sacrificed her integrity over what is looking to become her most inoffensive yet somehow very offensive (?!) bland and uninspired record. 

soo disappointed that this turned out to be a looped mess. The best part is basically what we have heard and well, 95% of the song anyway nnn which gets boring in awhile

"Lifetimes" is like weak demo version of any basic house inspired track.

 

Overall production is so flat and there is not one unique sound or aspect of it :/

 

Even WW is more entertaining.
