Anyway, this is a joyful bop. It's repetitive for sure, like one long chorus but that's not always a bad thing.

I don't know how to explain it but I do agree that TD sounds and looks way more elevated

I mean the way they filmed it was intentionally that it looks like that ig, but it really looks like her vacationing and having a camera with her. That's what I meant, while Teenage Dream looks more professionally shot.

this is obviously a step up from Woman's World and not a complete travesty but it's so painfully bland. For me, what set Katy apart was her cheekiness, love for camp, and personality. I'm not saying she needs needs redo the same era over and over but this has absolutely no identity. It's safe, basic and has nothing to say. And then seeing that it took 9 people to write this song... that's frankly just embarrassing. Not to mention that, once again, the production could've been done by pretty much every person who knows how to use Logic. 

The replay value is soooo high 

I'm sorry, but the verse slaps. 

 

The bass hits harddd. 

 

Also, it's a fun summer bop, nothing groundbreaking. 

 

Not you guys hating Lifetimes but loving that generic coffee song sung over a vanilla Jack Antonoff beat. 

 

I think the song is significantly better than WW, although it does lack a second verse and more high notes/adlibs. 

 

Had this been the lead single, things would've gotten off to an incredible start without the female empowerment anthem controversy. 

 

The MV is cute, but it's kinda generic. 

 

It's kinda reminding me of Zara Larsson's On My Love MV. 

It's a cute bop that will help us to forget what she's previously relased 

Truly awful from Katy this year. 

I am so disappointed. I mean, it is better than WW, cause anything would be better, but... I was always wondering why is she always sharing the same snippet on socials and now you can tell why, cause the entire song is just the snippet on the loop.

 

Why couldn't they put more verses or something to make it less repetitive?

This song knocks, I like the structure tbh if I'm listening to house I don't want verses slowing it down  I hope most of the tracks we haven't heard teased are pure dance like this. 
 

Her voice sounds so ******* good too, I fell in love with her because of her tone and how she sounds on dancey tracks like this.

I think y'all are talking about having a plot and a structure, and in that sense, TD definitely feels like an MV. But speaking of budget, Lifetimes obviously feels more expensive idk. 

The song isn't that bad. I wouldn't mind it if it was playing on the radio but it feels too repetitive and the lyrics are a mess (and I usually don't care about lyrics, I'd rather have a solid melody and a catchy song).

 

The video might be her most generic and uninspired one to this day. Katy looks cute but the video has no interest nor replay value, you can tell it was planned last minute to release something.

 

Still curious to hear the album eventhough none of the songs are clicking with me so far. 

What is going on Katy? Katy Perry? What is this?

I find really nonsense to see people acting surprised on the simplicity of these singles and expecting some kinda of deep/raw songs. I mean we've known since forever that 143 is a dance, fun, carefree album, that's it, just move on if it's not your cup of tea.
