Dominic Donner - dancing with a silhouette (I still cry for you) — A big yawn. Felt like background music in a 2016 YouTube video.

FLO - Get It Till I'm Gone — I loveeeee FLO and this song is no exception. Is it my all time favorite of theirs? Def not. But it’s still very good and will rank well for me here.

RUSLANA - las guapas no morimos de verdad — another very successful entry in the “new to element” collection. Loved the melody and the atmosphere. Great choice and I’ll make sure you are on my top 10 list!

Britney Spears - Why Should I Be Sad — when I first listened to Blackout beyond the singles, this was not a standout. However, over time it has grown on me when it plays independently from the rest of the album. Pharrell can be hit or miss and I think he made a hit on this one x

Ellie Goulding - By The End Of The Night — Higher Than Heaven is a generic dance-pop album done so very well in my opinion. I may be biased bc I’ve stanned her for ages, but the production throughout just feels so rich and layered. This is one of my many favorites on the album. The chorus is admittedly a bit clunky with the number of syllables fighting the flow a bit, but it’s very catchy. This song has accompanied many night drives for me (recommend this for the vibe btw) and it will be getting a high score!

Quiet Light - You Say I Love You — of the songs that are new to me in this playlist, I’d say this is one of the more successful. Very intriguing production. Love how it sputters and cuts out at times.

Rina Sawayama - Holy (Til You Let Me Go) — Idc what the haters say — this album was really solid and enjoyable! While this isn’t a top track from HTG, I do quite like it. Cool production and messaging. I need her to return to music soon :(

Sally Shapiro - I'll Be By Your Side — when this started, I was very excited because the synthy production was giving me a little callback to Ellie’s first album so I was anticipating a bop. Unfortunately, the vocals ruined the experience for me. I wish they were mixed better or there was a stronger vocalist who took this track. Definitely a nice concept here but lacking in execution.

hemlocke springs - head, shoulders, knees, and ankles — this is the first major bomb of the playlist to me, and it’s sad because I’ve found her work intriguing in the past. Sever the Blight went number one on my personal charts tbh. It feels like she tried to make quirky as the genre without considering listenability.

Delta V - II Primo Giorno Del Mondo — I’m a big fan of Y2K soundscapes and this is no exception. And wow! Even though it was in a different language, it was very enjoyable to connect with because I didn’t need to understand what they were saying to feel the emotion and the passion! I will say the last portions of the song lost me a bit when it became a bit shrieky and dramatic. Didn’t need that part.

O & The Mo - Make Way For The Sun — Very lovely, chill vibe. I feel like I’m about to have a relaxing summer evening stroll by the docks of a Mediterranean village.

JADE - This Is What We Dance For — ok wow she jammed so many words into the verses and idk how I feel about that! Afterwards though, I was absolutely bopping to the chorus. Really strong melody and euphoric atmosphere.

Oklou - take me by the hand (feat. Bladee) — absolutely beautiful production like most of this album. I wish there was a different feature but I enjoy the song as a whole, and you will likely win this round.

MARINA - Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land — there’s something kind of intriguing here conceptually but the melody ultimately doesn’t take me on the adventure that I expected

Tove Lo - Are U gonna tell her? (feat. MC Zaac) - I didn’t really appreciate this song when I first listened to the album years ago. Other songs stood out more! But over time, I’ve come to really enjoy this.
