The absolute ONLY song that can redeem this album is All the Love; mostly because its giving older Katy vibes in the best way.

All The Love as the lead would have resulted in an entirely different era and a yellow on Metacritic

The only song I use in the album. I like the song. At least it was not produced my L*ke.

143 is the kind of album you must listen to more than once. It's a good album. I'm in love with All the Love. 

Plus, Woman's World wasn't a great choice for a lead single after hearing the full album.

Yeah All The Love is the best one, after a few listens. It stands out because it sounds genuine, emotional and not shallow. Maybe it helps that it's the song with better lyrics among them all

I decided to give this album a chance, despite Katy never being more unlikeable in her entire career.

 

Everything leading up to the album released pointed to this being an absolute mess, and it is. In my opinion, the biggest problem is that the album is bland and completely faceless. There is not a single song that moves me in the slightest.

 

This is more comparable to Smile than Witness, but even Smile had some good songs, unlike 143. I'm not sure why she was so adamant on working with Dr. Puke when he didn't deliver whatsoever.

I've never seen such a bias against an artist in this site, not even against Nicki or Camila  

Lyrically the album is kind of bad. She's always been campy, cliche, and made… choices… but this one feels devoid of personality while being bad.

 

the melodies are strong. Much stronger than her previous two records.

 

the production is kind of outdated and watered down, so I'm unsure why Luke was needed. Had he not been on the album it would've been received much better. 
 

I definitely think the hate train is being too harsh but it's very much her own fault
