This album gets better and better with every listen. I'm finding it hard listening to anything else as I keep going back to it.

I was actually really looking forward to this, and it's...just not good enough unfortunately.  It feels like a (slight) step up from Smile, but it's still not what it needed to be.

 

I feel like this is a deadly ARTL sin to admit, but I actually liked Woman's World and Lifetimes (even though they're a bit generic).  But unfortunately, those are two of the better tracks on the album. I was SO excited for Nirvana, but the entire song is such a letdown compared to that magnificent chorus.  Other than that, Crush, Gorgeous, and All the Love are cute, and I actually really really like Wonder, which also feels like the most authentic song on the album (even though it's still a little cheesy). Maybe she should lean into that theme on her next album — an album for her daughter. Wonder really touched me because of that aspect of it.

 

Overall, it's a 5-6/10 album for me, but maybe it'll grow on me.

I'm right there with you  Woman's World is one of my top 3 most played songs this year, love it or hate it but "Sexy, confident" is such a vibe... if you get it you get it

This is by far her best project since PRISM. 143 is great. the look the artwork the performance everything is on fire. she just make a big mistake with WW as a lead single. still love her though

 

 

I just saw a reaction video on Ig where this man literally dances to every song and then says basically he doesn't like the album and I think I saw it all atp. They're really ridiculous and don't even try to hide it anymore, I can't

You just have to ignore all the actual hate & don't let it affect your personal feelings.  

 

99% of the reactions to this album/era have been overblown but there's nothing we can do about it. 

 

People do have the right to criticize her decisions, even as fans we shouldn't always blindly 100% support every single things our fav's do. However it has gotten past a point of actual criticism, even just the "stan wars" type of things to pure hatred and vitriol. 

 

People will move on eventually. We just have to take it for what it is for now.

Reactions for this albums are too much. Before J.LO now this. And yall wondering why pop girls prefer being avon ladies nowadays. If Katy would still be on idol and Vegas she wouldn't get that much hate. I hope after this she is going to have a long break spending time with family and doesn't care about music at all because it's not worth it

I'm not a Katy fan and I would never hope she (or any pop star) retires. She is a living legend a few missteps do not negate her contributions to pop and entertainment.

 

I think this album is controversial and the fact that the album material wasn't good enough to put that to rest seems to be the problem here. 

 

Her next album will be her absolute best, watch.
