After sitting with this for a few days Lifetimes is the clear standout and I wish it got a longer club mix and lead single push instead of what she gave it

The only one of Katy's tours I wasn't able to attend. I had tickets and everything but my mom fell sick not long before so I didn't end up going. I've attended the Hello Katy, Prismatic and Witness tours though, so I'm still super lucky in that regard. 

 

I've watched a ton of professional recordings on YouTube though and it looked like a blast, I'm sure you had a great time!

Yes I had so much fun it was my first big concert ever I remember that I was sooo excited to go haha... Definitely had a blast!

The cotton candy scented booklet was such a great marketing tactic. I remember one of my friends was debating whether or not to purchase a copy of the CD and when I told them it was going to be scented they picked up a copy that same day. 2010 was such a great time to be alive.

I love these stories   There should be a whole thread for these, this is so wholesome and reminds me why we even gathered here in the 143 thread in the first place!

Also, I'm so jealous that u guys saw her on tour  I really hope she'll tour 143...

quite frankly this album will mean much more to me now amidst everything, the visuals, the songs, her looks, the hate has catapulted this era into something that's actually unforgettable

 

its not even worth fighting the mods over the banner, meh, it's giving cult classic.

I love that she was your first big concert as she's such an entertainer. Have you been to any of her other tours?

Haha yeah I have been a fan since one of the boys but was too young back then for concerts. Katy definitely has a piece of my heart forever.

I have been to the prismatic and witness tour as well! Didn't go to play because I didn't want to go to Vegas to see her. You have been to all except the CD tour?

Oh I thought the lyric was "...in your prism" which would be better imo

My only issue with this album is that it's too short and some tracks feel hollow/repetitive especially Nirvana albeit it's an enjoyable track. 

 

I do enjoy the transitions and the fact that she presents the album as a dj set but she could have made longer and more in depth intros like Madonna did in Confessions.

 

I'd say it's a solid 6.5/10

I'm glad I took the plunge and posted in here as I've been enjoying talking with fellow fans. I've honestly had such a blast listening to 143 all weekend. I hope my neighbors have also been enjoying it. 
 

I'm manifesting that you'll get to see her. I hope she tours as well but if she pays dust to "WONDER" then I'm going to need a refund ASAP! Don't do this to me Katheryn.

I've been to them all, but if we're also counting Play as a tour, I didn't attend that one either for the same reason as you. Although I was pressed as hell when I saw that she performed "Never Really Over - but I guess that's what I get for NOT wanting to wake up in Vegas.

THIS is the kind of silly pop joy part of my brain is craving  This stuff is so much fun to sing along to and actually has so much of Katy's personality in it. Very tongue-in-cheek, very playful, and also memorable because of that. If you get it, you get it!!!

Glad there's a review thread now so all the unemployed mean gays can get off on each others' posts. This thread appears to be returning to normal. 
 

Still not sure where this is going to end up in my Katy albums ranking but it notably has fewer skips than anything since Teenage Dream

The second half of the album has a lot of replayability! While yes the album is disappointing to me, there are still a couple of good moments in there like any other Katy Perry album.
