I never understood the appeal of Super Bass as someone who does love bubblegum pop it was a bit too sweet for me and kinda boring. Nicki had better pop-rap songs.

With all my love to Say So and all my incredulity to Nicki's controversial figure, Suber Bass is one of (if not the) best female hip hop song of all time. Say So is great but Suber Bass had bigger impact on me

Funny, cause if I would call anything  boring, it's Say So. The flow of the chorus just drags, while Super Bass goes off

Super Bass is probably the best pop rap song of all time. Never got the hype for Say So. KISS Me More is better

Super Bass is pop rap done right. Infectious hooks, strong personality, and great flow. She raps her verses, sings her choruses/bridge, and the adlibs put everything in balance and place. It still stands out from other songs in this style. Say So, by comparison, is good but it strips most of the sugar and slows the pace down. She has far better fitting songs to use for this comparison, like Kiss Me More.

Not at all. Say So didn't age well imo, Super Bass sounds a lot fresher than it despite being 10 years older.

Doja & a song like Say So wouldn't even exist without Superbass.
