  1. He's a flashy lawyer whose controversy mainly boils down to his aggressive tactics. He won a $100 million case against BP at one stage, and represented many women in assault cases against the NFL & hundreds more against Diddy. It isn't surprising that a lawyer's reputation would be smeared when going against such giants. I don't see how his political beliefs are relevant (don't even know or care), the same would apply for the firm representing Jay Z and we can list all the bs they've been in… Regardless of your opinion on him, the court's outcome is the same.
  2. He's not considered anything in regards to the rape allegations, actually. His camp harassed the accuser in her own home, until she dropped the case. And this courts ruling suggests the case had merit and was not, as he claimed, concocted to defame or extort him. Make of that what you will.
  3. The lawsuit was not "tossed". Jane Doe made the decision not to pursue after being harassed. Jay Z claimed the entire suit was based on an attempt to defame & extort him. The courts have ruled not only is that unfounded, but he has to pay for wasting time with this claim. That is "what".
  4. What is conspiratorial about the courts ruling against the claims of extortion & defamation? If anything, this suggests that was the conspiracy against the alleged victim. That narrative has officially been deemed baseless & if you followed the proceedings, it was evident the courts weren't all too pleased with the fact that his representatives were sent to harass Tony's client.
  5. It's evident why they don't engage, it reflects poorly on who he's married to.
  6. Pink lady could literally not exist and Jay Z would still be what he is & owe what he owes. Maybe reflect on why you guys are always predictably attempting to derail threads with off topic diversions. Is the reality too hurtful to engage with? Does it shatter the PR facade?
  7. A reminder that Jane Doe did not expressly recant her allegations against him, despite what his paid blogs want to spin - she was harassed & stalked by ROC NATION hires that showed up at her HOME & pressured under duress, until she decided the safest thing for her was to stop. Not surprised the defamation & extortion accusations were not supported by the court. He wants to outrun & whitewash his past. But a karmic debt will be owed and collected regardless.
  8. It doesn't. Frankly, I don't think she cares either way. A group of my friends plan a brunch or dinner every couple months & like to pick a new place to try. The last time we did this, they'd suggested a similar restaurant, branded as Israeli cuisine. I just politely declined, explained why & that was that. Everyone was fine choosing from a million other options. It's not something I'd fault them for & it certainly doesn't speak to any political view or allegiance they hold, the menu just looked good, simple as that. Though it is frustrating & disappointing to realise that despite all that's been reported the past few years, for most, this form of cultural appropriation & passive colonialism is still not a consideration at all.
  9. There's no such thing. It's either a European dish from the Jewish diaspora originating outside of the Middle East, or a Mediterranean/levant dish that's been labeled "Israeli" to further co-opt, erase or rebrand its cultural heritage. I peeped their menu, and well, that's exactly what they're doing. It would be no big deal to just operate as a Jewish/Kosher restaurant serving Mediterranean dishes, but branding them "Israeli" is the issue… and the Israel association in general.
  10. Hi user @Kingdom, FOCK here, checking in from my place of work where I save animal lives and relish in the demise and embarrassment of fed affiliated, culture appropriating billionaires in between patients. What, like it's hard? xx
  11. That's not Akademiks' page, it's run by an employee I believe, but there's several other sources to choose from. Simply posting something isn't a co-sign of said person & doesn't automatically invalidate the reporting. The way everyone has suddenly lost their ability to cackle at a cringe moment in time.
  12. We love first hand journalism. Thank you for setting the record straight. Would you care to share a video of the reported overexcitement, so that we may all share in the same joy & celebration of the 45th sun rotation?
  13. It's the way that you know what I thought I knew
  14. Jay Z struggled through a limp rendition of "Happy Birthday" to his wife during his recent London tour. Many reports of fans leaving the venue, large chunks of the venue being closed off & giving away heavily discounted & free tickets. UPDATE: First hand account from user @7672
  15. Wasn't there a similar story with Bongoz where the label spent 2 million? The way her stans let her most fun material flop needs to be studied. The genre is all but dead, someone at her label is surely cackling. They'll be recollecting it all from her, with interest.
  16. She's such a disappointment. Her entire "underdog" & "rebellion" schtick is so contrived & put on when juxtaposed with her misinformed personal beliefs. Just another of many artists I once respected going out sad.
  17. The post shared demands an apology and refunds for concert goers & accused the artists of pushing a "false genocide" narrative.
  18. @Treacherous I'd like an apology for you messing with my thread title, every day it's looking more like my interpretation of the lyric was in fact, correct.
  19. Jay-Z's close friend Emory "Vegas" Jones was arrested and sentenced to prison in connection with a drug conspiracy. He served over a decade behind bars after refusing to cooperate with authorities or implicate Jay-Z. During his time in prison, Jay-Z showed public and private support, famously featuring a phone call from Emory on the track "Do U Wanna Ride" from his 2006 album Kingdom Come. Upon release, Emory was immediately welcomed back into Jay-Z's inner circle. Jay-Z appointed him as a high-ranking executive, serving as the Head of Lifestyle at Roc Nation and made him a co-founder of the apparel and lifestyle brand Paper Planes. Are any Roc Nation execs not coke pushers begging for Trump pardons?
  20. I ship platinum, them bishes is shipping wood.
  21. Those are material facts. But true joy is not found in accolades, it's found in god. Or Trump. Or Tesla. Who knows anymore.
  22. Baby, go stream or you won't be getting any either.
