I don't even think it's that she doesn't have drive, she just needs Rihanna treatment with writing camps because i don't think her writing skill or ear for hits is quite there, the lack of hooks and melodies on this album is crazy. She's also incredibly mismanaged and the fact her team greenlit 95% of this album is beyond me, such a pivotal moment in her career being botched this bad with lacklustre and in some respect straight up bad material.

this is a steep decline from her debut, and from a very very promising EP (which was far far better than this, minus IS IT) very disappointed, i was rooting for her so hard

theres just zero storytelling or visual identity with this album that even with traditional marketing there wouldn't be much movement because everything just feels like a cheap, non event she needs to leave her label as soon as possible… i will say though shes an INCREDIBLE performer and a tour announcement is a must and will save her from total doom

this is what we wanted from the start, but the marketing and pre release singles have suggested the complete opposite, suggesting the album is just yet again another heavy mixed bag which turns me off
