I hate to say it but it's not looking good at the moment. What can Olivia's team do to salvage the GUTS era?

i guess hits-wise the era is finished

the album will still sell well and rise when the tour starts tho

Part of me wonders if her overnight success did not let her appreciate the value of doing promo and working to make an album successful. 

Like GUTS is doing pretty well and will go down as a success either way.  I just remember how Dua was performing and doing pretty much everything she could to make Future Nostalgia a hit, and over time it worked.  

The GP prefers Olivia’s ballads over her pop punk songs, so The Grudge needs to be the next single even though it’s one of my least favorite tracks. Obsessed also has the potential to become a TikTok hit once it’s on streaming platforms.

Fans always use promo excuse when gp isn't loving the new work like old one. Just release deluxe with gp taste songs and get a hit to save the era. 

But i remember her fans trolling other artists for releasing more editions and doing promo. It is quite funny and hypocritical

I feel like Bilie and her acted like they were already established and that's why they underperformed big time

Doesn’t really need salvaged? Its not performing as well as Sour but you’re acting like it was a massive flop. 

Not really. Unless TikTok revives one of the songs or Get Him Back suddenly starts to catch on.

 

A shame, because Bad Idea Right should've been as big as Good 4 U.

The first week was big and then it followed up really well

She should make Bad Idea Right a full-fledged single.

No, I thought it was a really bad album with no standouts besides vampire and it’s just okay. But I’m not her target demographic, my opinion is very subjective.

Be thankful that at least she had a promo during debut week + 3 music videos 

 

 

I hate this trend of Artist releasing an album but pretending that they don’t care 

 

At least Olivia had 3 videos, VMas, Today show & big magazines like Vogue & Rolling Stone 

 

 

Release The Grudge & add some promo maybe SNL, a late night show some award show all before the tour starts

Agreed that guts did fine . 

But, by streaming age standards, Olivia has done  alot of promo-multiple profiles, tons of radio interviews , filmed live performances , and her Apple ad featuring Get Him Back is getting played multiple times in each NFL  game. The only thing missing is late night and that was because of the strikes. 

 

The issue is that her promo isn’t generating much attention because she’s focusing  too much about avoiding controversy  and not enough about saying interesting thins that would generate attention.  The main things I learned from her promo is that she loves rock music and doesn’t want to talk about Taylor.

 

I think if her  tour is half decent it should boost guts . 

Is that necessary? 
 

But maybe when the SAG strike is over she can join Yellowstone or something for some GP promo
