Anyone remember Fergie's 'M.I.L.F. $'?
Fergie's 2016 single M.I.L.F. $ is having a moment on Twitter right now as people reminisce on the song's quirkiness ten years on. Do you remember this mid-2010s bop? I recall the music video doing quite well on YouTube back in the day, and the song is quite the guilty pleasure now.

Why did radio pay dust to Avril's "Girlfriend"? (#74 year end on airplay)
I think radio liked Avril as a more palatable younger option compared to her peers, which is why songs like Complicated, I'm With You, and My Happy Ending were big adult contemporary and HAC radio smashes whilst contemporaries like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera struggled to even make the top 20 there with their songs. Pop rock made her sound more mature, and the times she strayed to pop-punk before i.e. with Sk8er Boi, she hadn't found much cross-format airplay support. She also had never had any rhythmic support (which was competing with CHR as the biggest radio format at the time in terms of audience impressions). This was also Girlfriend's issue. It went to number only on pop radio, whilst stalling at number 13 on HAC (around the same position as songs as like Don't Tell Me, Nobody's Home, and Keep Holding On, all of whom peaked much lower than Girlfriend on pop radio and had much less sales). Even on pop radio it wasn't a dominant hit; it spent a sole week at number one and it was only fourth in terms of audience impressions that week. It also had very little longevity, exiting the top ten just three weeks after hitting the summit. Its relatively moderate radio performance also explains why its Hot 100 longevity was also so unimpressive; it spent its first 18 weeks in the top ten but left the chart just 6 weeks later. To sum up, Girlfriend was not a radio favourite because of its pop-punk sound, leading to it not having a lot of cross-format play and even the format that did support it did so half-heartedly, compromising its longevity and leading to a mediocre airplay performance relative to the songs' downloads success and its cultural recognition.

Do you think Rihanna actually took part in writing all of the songs for Anti?
I remember reading about the songwriting splits of several pop stars on a pop music subreddit back in the day: To me Rihanna getting 1% song royalties on a song she allegedly wrote kinda confirms she was not very involved with the writing process.

Your favourite performance by your favourite artist
Quite an odd pick but I've always been mesmerized by how stunning she looks and how good her vocals sound, plus I love the chair dancing and On a Night Like This is an S-tier song:
