I don’t see her dragging the acts out into multiple years. Not with the uncertain state of the world. And she wouldn’t have announced multiple acts if they weren’t completed or close to being completed

 

whether the acts are albums or a visuals and a tour, they’ll be out within a year

Will keep it 100, my stanning of Bey in recent years has been more about HER. The boss moves, the critical acclaim, the envelope-pushing, the performances. And while I totally understand the vitality of ST and Lemonade to her career and positioning (aka she wouldn't be who she is today without them), I've not personally  LOVED an album like this since 4.

 

IMO, 4 has always been THAT girl because it was "the" album that showcased ALL the "Beyonces" in their fully realized forms. The R&B Bey, the Pop Bey, the uptempo Bey, slow jam Bey, the vocalist Bey. If there was one album (top to bottom) that showcased what Beyonce as an artist is all about...it's been 4. 

 

I think Renaissance may now be that album!

it’s bday (4 is a love letter to her favorite genres) and those albums are amazing but this is her first truly fun album since 4

The fact that a lot of us (the tasteful ones) have an emotional connection to 4 

 

She doesn't need to release no damn rap album to rap sing

I'm a bit worried about her second-week drop next week. Did they even restock CDs? And we have no vinyls. I wonder how she's holding on AM.

Manifesting continued smart moves from her team. 

 

Now would be a good time to drop cassettes, maybe more configurations like restocking the boxes. 

 

Only thing is, I can imagine all of this would be wise to do when the visual arrives to maximize another wave of sales. 

 

We also have the wide-release of the vinyl in mid September, so maybe it's actually best to let the album hover in the top 10 for a lil while (which it will) and give it strategic lifts via the above moves in the weeks after that. 

Her marketing/business skills combined with the IMMENSE artistry is one for the books imo.

 

We may not like certain choices she makes but we cannot deny that she makes them almost as a statement of intent in itself, and that is not only commenable but artistry in itself... I mean who else would do some of the things she does, all for the sake of making it music/work first?

I think the drop will be significant. How is she doing on streaming?  She spent half a week dominating the top 20 of Apple Music, how many songs are there now?

Also the pre-sales we’re insane!! Especially considering the hype from the boxes. I would expect the shipping isn’t lined up the way it should be considering the timeline for new vinyls on her website + the reports of the cd not being on the shelf.

 

With all that being said, I am hoping she sells a a cute 130K to keep the number 1 spot for a second week. That would be very respectable.

I love TikTok but there are moments where it annoys me that certain opinions spread fast on there and people think it’s true lol.. for example the common assumption is that REN has mixed reviews  

I think there will be a big drop next week but there will also be a massive repeak when the visuals drop. This album will serve longevity for sure.

Lauryn sings and she raps, she has never done rap-singing. He's not talking about a person that can both rap and sing. He's talking about the way of singing that Bey made popular with Jumpin' Jumpin' that sounds like raping and singing all in one.

yes! I love 4 so much. It’s all I listened to that year (+WTT)

I graduated HS that year and saw her for the first time live at Good Morning America or whatever that was lol.. I waited on line all night with people I don’t speak to anymore
