Tbh, even if it leaked right now it wouldn't make much of an impact in the streaming era. Obviously we hope it won't, but it's not really something we need to stress about.

No leaks would be perfect. But, if it's inevitable, then as close to Friday as possible. 

 

Bey definitely benefits from those big collectivised moments. So hopefully, she's able to have the project experienced as she intended.

 

TBH, if there's a major visual component (e.g. on Netflix) then that will be the case for the vast majority anyway...music leak or not.

Hopefully this sells a little more than 200k however we should be prepared for the worst considering Beyoncé’s absence the last few years. 

 

Also, I don’t understand putting out a single if it’s not going to be promoted.

Still, resolute about that she's coming with a something...it's the what and when of it all that has me on edge.

Then there's the slight (and I mean ever so slight) off chance that she may do a Kendrick...i.e. drop the album somewhat soft-launch-like and build from there. That's when I'd probably jump sides to the complainers lol. 

 

When I think Bey, I think maximum impact, game-changing, and "world stop". I have more faith and receipts to pull from that point in the direction of that ("world stop") being the tea this week, but you just never know.

I hope it’s not the Kendrick approach as I feel like his album and hype died about 2 weeks after release. Plus the vibe of his album was more melancholy so I can understand why. Beyoncé has said she wants people to dance and be free, and I’ve been waiting for home girl to display that sentiment outside of an Instagram post. I thought that meant she also would be more free with this era. 
 

It’s Monday and something should be dropped everyday this week to build up excitement. We’ll see what happens. 

I remember many of y’all criticizing me when Break My Soul first came out saying it was way too early for me to say the song is a hit.
 

Now look at how big of a worldwide hit it is. Told y’all.

Love them but both didn’t drop a single before their album + neither didn’t speak much on they anticipated projects. So nobody knew what direction they were going in musically and artistically – they numbers reflect how people digested it.

 

Bey made it clear Renaissance will be an uptempo, dance pop project. Given that fans wanted a fun side of Bey to return + BMS being the lead, she will perform well.

Regarding that Spotify update, that update worries me a bit. I hope we can recover throughout the week before the album release.
