Enchanted is that *****. One of my favorite Taylor songs. Then The Cure, then Chihiro.

I love all three so much but I think that, for its progressive production and more nuanced lyrics alone, Chihiro takes the cake 🏆 it's just a bit more fascinating and feels a bit more cerebral/grown up than the other two. it also gets points in my book for not strictly being about romantic love bird

Every time I play Enchanted I think of the Owl City version and cringe. Gotta give it to The Cure for that reason. priceless

Enchanted because of its grandiosity and storytelling, but the other 2 are generational as well.

Enchanted is literal magic. That one wins for me by a wide margin. I would put The Cure in second place.

I really did not click with HMHAS when it dropped two years ago. It's grown on me and I can appreciate it now—I love listening to it on my vinyl player. But the only song I really love as a standalone song is BOAF; every other song really only clicks for me within the context of listening to the album in full. CHIHIRO basically just feels like a vibe song that heavily depends on its production to carry the sparse lyrics within the context of the album. So, the song—on its own—feels pretty lacking to me.

There is no song that properly recreates the magic of Enchanted. The two other songs here are nothing in comparison.

Enchanted > The Cure > Chihiro
