I've always enjoyed going to both because each bring a different time depending on my mood but i've been increasingly enjoying a lot more straight bars as of late. I've always have fun, the people there are cool and the music is always the things that I listen to outside of pop music. I like those fancy ones that serve quality cocktails instead of those crass ones that random people go just to get drunk

If there are no gay bars in the city or I'm going with my straight friends, sure.

But in my experience, once you go to a gay bar or club, you never willingly want to go to a straight bar again.

I actually agree with this. I don't mind a bar if the vibe is right. You are going to have a subpar night at a straight club regardless of who you go with.

I go to trivia every Thursday night at a local pub. Good times all around.
