There isn't a failure and refusal from the left to acknowledge legitimate concerns about overstretched resources for immigrants etc. that's a constant discourse that the left usually answers with redistributive economic policies (which the folks who are espousing these tacit anti-immigrant narratives are also usually against…). It's just such a discourse becomes a secondary focus when the topic is brought up or hijacked by supposed "liberal" white gay men on a pop forum saying "see look at these awful brown Muslims." For all the problems the US has, the liberal population here for the most part doesnt engage in such bigoted rhetoric against immigrants that comes straight out of Jesse Waters Fox News monologues… The Muslim population in the US is one of the most progressive cohorts of the Dem coalition producing figures like ilhan Omar and Mamdani. Why is it that same dynamic doesn't exist in White European ethnostates where immigrants are othered and demonized by even "liberal" gays? I feel like everyone needs to wake up and understand that with global wealth inequality soaring and climate change getting worse, these kinds of mass migration are going to be an inevitable reality. The population of the global north (Europe in particular) living off a diminishing legacy of those colonial spoils benefitting their own populations is slowly being eroded by their own capitalist classes increasing their domestic share of the wealth pot (and slowly eroding the social welfare programs yall have enjoyed for decades). This concerted effort to demonize immigrants threatening the "social/ethnic fabric" of European countries flares up when the algorithms deliberately drum up these stories to solidify the narrative. Why play into legitimizing it (especially now that it's increasingly likely this was some geopolitical tactic by the Moroccan gov), when instead you can have the honest convo about these root causes…Laughs in Walter Rodney's How Europe Underdeveloped Africa and Aime Cesaire's Discourse on Colonialism. I don't reallllly feel like getting in a back and forth with your reactionary "European Liberal values" ass, liberalZionistsrollthedice, but the reality of centuries of wealth extraction and colonialism creating the massive wealth inequality between the Global North and Global South doesn't just get erased overnight. People's lives being "made worse" doesn't erase the multitude of people seeking a better life nor do the lives of those benefitting from centuries of exploitation inherently matter more than those living in destitution as a result. What emboldens the far right is this abstract appeal to "European values" and tacit demonization of the masses of migrants you're engaging in across this thread.
