Artists who are going through creative blocks?

I'm going to say it's weird that Adele takes that much time between albums. Yes, she really wants to publish music when she has something to say, but 30 wasn't her best body of work and it means she doesn't have a lot to say....

Lorde has been creatively bankrupt since Melodrama.

Probably the one who rerecorded all of her old albums then ran back to her old writer/producer.

Charli XCX seems creatively lost post-BRAT . clap3

Says she doesn't know if she wants to let it go or keep going, and that her next album will prob flop.

I think the long gaps between her albums has more to do with her having more than enough money to live comfortably since her previous albums have sold like a gazillion copies already toofunny3 She probably doesn't need to release another album ever again lakitu

She's still young as hell deadbanana4

People don't have to release their best work every time they release something. But I think some artists haven't been able to produce work that fits their talent in a while and Lorde is certainly one of them unfortunately. As is Perfume Genius, Sufjan kind of redeemed himself with his last album but that was the case with him for a while too, as well as Marina.

Katy. I think she knows what she wants to say but she needs fresh writers and especially producers to shape her sound.

Like Hilarys album is so effortlessly fresh sounding. Katy needs that.

Also Zedd could have done a better job on onefourthree than Luke.

Idk but definitely not Taylor. I guess I'd say Rihanna considering she quite literally cannot bring herself to put anything out

All male artists except for the queer ones are going through creative blocks or some aren't even creative at first.

If Olivia continues with her theme which is angry angsty and edgy teenager with OR3 then it's her. I'm so excited for OR3 but I hope it's not another Sour or GUTS which is basically a Sour 2.0. Same thing for Sabrina. It's cute with 2 album cycles but a 3rd one would be tedious.

I think she just stopped caring about music and just started caring about making money/business more.

True, but if you take so long to release your albums then you can't blame people for expecting a masterpiece every time

Masterpieces are a result of a breakthrough, that can happen in months, it can also happen in years, it could not happen at all. It's not a moral failing for someone not to live up to their capability, I'm sure people would put out their best work every time if they could, but artists are also humans and are allowed to have missteps and even bad work. The truly terrible thing, I think, would be acting like bad work is excellent when it's not. But sometimes artists learn from their failings and do better, there have been many such cases.

Taylor her new music has been garbage for the last 5 years. Evermore was her last good album. Focus on those tv albums Taylor cause you need a creative break.
