I disagree I feel the only real song that doesn't seem to fit well with mayhem is How bad do you u want me. It's not a bad song it just feels very out of place for maybe concept at least the way Gaga promoted the album and the aesthetics of the album. Thats why I prefer to listen to remix version of the song on YouTube. It does something that Taylor swift would do. I know that was never her idea but I sometimes can help but think she added that song only because of label pressure to have something light and fun.

I don't mind the song can't stop the high but it sounds like she paying homage to Joan album which didn't really fit the vibe of mayhem imo. Not too mention Joan honestly feels like her least personal album at time passes.

Dont call tonight I don't mind it anymore but it still feels like an inferior version of killer love.

It's a song for the DL, it fits THEYTHEM

Can't Stop the High has a grunge style that fits Mayhem perfectly, so leaving it off the standard album was a huge missed opportunity to make MAYHEM even more cohesive. Listening to CSTH followed by Perfect Celebrity is orgasmic.

It doesn't have Joanne vibes at all, IMO.

One of the major themes of MAYHEM has been duality.

lady-gaga-mayhem-ball-tour.jpg?resize=10

Darkness and light. Fantasy and reality.

She has also wrestled with the idea of Lady Gaga. What she thinks Lady Gaga is versus what others think.

EC-VOGUK-270325-LADYGAGA.jpgLady-Gagas-Wildest-Fashion-and-Beauty-Lo

Trying to face the scary, chaotic parts of yourself. Wondering if you need to change or just embrace who U are.

There is a song on MAYHEM that talks about the idea of duality.

Dark vs light.

Good vs bad.

The idea of who I am and the girl that is in your head...

Ladies, gentlemen and gentlethem,

How Bad Do U Want Me is probably the most MAYHEM song on MAYHEM.

I barely scratched the surface. I could honestly go on forever about this.

To this day I still don't get the HBDUWM Taylor association. It's always sounded like her early tracks like Paparazzi, No Way, Reloaded, Eh Eh and the like. That and Garden of Eden are the most egregious examples of The Fame throwbacks she has done.

This Nobel Prize winning post clap3

This is part of why I can actually get on board with the take that HBDUWM could have actually been (subconsciously) inspired by Taylor, it's almost as if the "good girl" is Gaga's doppelgänger, the version of her that didn't have the messy career choices, the trauma, the one who was more digestible to audiences and seen as pure. That's not to mean it's about competing or being envious of said figure, but more like the Gaga that currently exists could only have been birthed through negation of the other.

Everything that happens after Shadow Of a Man feels forced lets not lie. those songs would fit on harlequin next to happy mistake.

I have never seen so much love for Gaga from the Latino community

And this is the woman who gave us Alejandro, and had my straight cousins singing it for years

I cannot believe the Madinosaurs, Swhities, and Beeswax really thought they could create some faux racism outage against her

Oh GodGa

I could be your girlfriend for the weeknd

But you'll have to sell your soul to keep me

tell me all the things that you believe in

LIKE WE BELIEVE IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN

Some love for Disease.

The song is gritty, filthy, dark and dirty and is a literal Disease in terms of sound. The way she paid homage to Nine Inch Nails and Trent Renzor should be studied. It's actually a great lead.

What's going on with Twitter? There are so many hateful tweets directed at Gaga. Her haters are truly insufferable, this is even worse than during ARTPOP or ASIB. Because all they do are posting LIES

Nothing will ever be worse than the backlash during ARTPOP or DWUW-ASIB era controversy. The hate tweets will result into nothing as usual.

ARTPOP's backlash was due to her bad career decisions, but now it's just pure lies and hatred. That's the difference.

The backlash is very minimal and centered around mostly stan twitter. No one in the real world actually believes she's MAGA. She's following over 136,000 people on X. There's no way she keeps track of her followings.

I just discovered one of my favorite co-workers is one of those people who believes Gaga is part of the Illuminati. She been watching too much conspiracy videos and she truly thinks Gaga was initiating bad bunny to be part of the Hollywood inner circle/epstien. I wanted to call her out. But I remember this isn't Stan Twitter or atrl but irl lol.

So the best thing I did to defend Gaga right there at work is say. I don't believe that because Gaga is one of the least problematic celebrities since the beginning of her career. She never gone on racists rants, she never done questionable sexual things with Epstein, with other people, she not evolved in drug trafficking or human trafficking, or involve in financial scandals like tax evasion or stealing money from others. She never been reported as mistreating her staff or others including other celebrities. She always been on the right side of history and always defending and supporting people who need it like lgbtq+ community, immigrants, women and other social causes.

Sorry if it seems like a little rant but my co-worker isn't a Gaga hater or involved in Stan world. But it was kinda of annoying this was bleeding into real life. These conspiracy theories.

Ditto, my mental health improved markedly when I deleted. And it's also worth remembering for ATRL too; any functioning member of the GP would probably read an OGH flamebait thread and either find it incomprehensible or wonder if most of them are suffering from severe mental illness at the emotional investment needed to be so vitriolic hoetenkswhat's said here has no causal impact on the real world or how Gaga is seen, and I find that remembering that instead of getting emotionally invested has helped me enjoy this hellhole a lot more.

I couldn't decide what to listen to so I'm going with Mayhem again gaycatina1
