Any song that comes right after Abracadabra feels so dull, maybe they were right and she is an actual witch

edit: I don't mean in the Mayhem tracklist. I meant everytime I listen to my saved music in shuffle, any song that comes after Abra does not have that wow-factor so it feels pale in comparison. No hate towards any other song in particular (again not talking about the specific Mayhem tracklist) it's just that Abra has been my current favorite since it release.

I've went through phases of obsessively replaying every song on Mayhem except Blade of Ass and Don't Stream Tonight (at least this has a godly bridge which is wasted on the rest of the song).

The Beast deserved better but if she replaced these 3 songs with better songs all OG album tracks would probably eventually reach 100m streams.

She was so so close to a 10/10 with Mayhem. I sometimes wonder of Blade Of Grass was put in to bridge with DWAS inclusion.

I hope she doesn't do any post hoc inclusions for LG8 and that only top tier material makes the album.

Everyone's taste is subjective but Mayhem had plenty of other huge wow moments for me: GoE's outro, Perfect Celebrity's chorus and outro, Killah's bridge, Zombieboy's outro, her sounding near perfectly like MJ on SOAM, The Beast's bridge, and that's just off the top of my head.

I get that Mayhem didn't venture outside conventional pop song structures but it's production had various layers of excellent creativity and some experimental moments here and there. It's certainly not an album that can easily be recreated by any other artist.

A shortened version of The Beast could be a cute interlude between How Bad Do U Want Me and Mayhem's last track, Shadow Of A Man.

I think there needed to be a bridge song between The Beast and DWAS but Blade of Grass is just not good. The chorus hurts.

The verses and build up are actually pretty good but that chorus is just terrible. And the bridge too omg, my ears.

Oh no, Mayhem is a 10/10 album IMO: Zombieboy chorus is crazy, I love the cadency she uses while singing in LoveDrug, VIY is literally an instant classic (maybe my 2nd favorite) and the way she sings the chorus of Kill for love is crazy. Every song has its own personality. I know usually we speak about BOG, but for me the odd one is The Dead Dance

Then again, I was trying to explain my experience while listening to my playlist randomized, It gets to Abra and no matter what song comes right after its just not as good as Abra (in my personal taste), not Mayhem tracklist related but any song in general. I'm not really trying to criticize Mayhem tracklist, it is my AOTY.

The poppers percentage on mayhem only have 85%. She needs to upgrade it to 95-99% the next time with LG8

I know I'm going to be dragged but The Beast is not a greater phallus worshipping song than Venus from ARTPOP. Think about it!

Yes, call me out, downvote me or say "shut your skinny a** up, bixch" but it's true though, it's true that it's a shame TB isn't an oontz oontz popper induced song, it's somewhat like a mid tempo song. I know people's taste is different, but when she announced the tracklist, I expected it to be an up tempo song with heavy synth slam here and there and because we have Gall...and because it's called The Beast. Oh well.

I know I'm basic but I don't listen to HBDUWM, TB, or BOG. But when you have an album with 17 tracks it almost impossible to have all 10/10s. The rest are solid songs I still listen to.

The Beast starts promising but doesn't go anywhere. I think it could work as an interlude, the live arrangement certainly elevates it.

Blade Of Grass is just a good vocal performance and that's it.

DCT is the definition of filler.

Everything else ranges from great to amazing/life-changing.

But what I will never do is put How Bad in the same basket as the flop triad. A home-run of a pop song. Which is why it'll make it's way to 200M streams easily while others rot at 50M.
