because she is one of those rare artists who on top of being mega talented and passionate about their craft actually stands for a good cause, sometimes even at the cost of their appeal. when you combine those three things it's inevitable that you eventually transcend a simple pop star box and become a part of something bigger, and regular people eventually start seeing and appreciating it too.
