Honestly, I used to think the whole karma thing was kinda absurd, but I'm opening my mind more and now I can actually see why people believe in it. The idea that we're energy and that our thoughts are vibrations we put out into the universe and somehow shape our reality is kinda blowing my mind lol. Every religion is about manifesting. New Age teaches you about manifestation and personal growth without all the judgment, division, and negative aspects that can sometimes come with organized religion.

I think the main difference is that superstition is usually about believing that certain actions, objects, or events have supernatural effects without a solid basis for that connection. New Age spirituality is broader and can involve philosophical and spiritual ideas about consciousness, meditation, reincarnation, karma, personal growth, etc. There can definitely be overlap, but I wouldn't consider them synonymous. It's okay if you don't want to believe it though. I'm not trying to convince anyone.

This is what I used to think too, but once you start learning more about it, everything starts to click. I get why someone would find it hard to believe at first, but reducing the whole thing to superstition is a bit simplistic.

I've been getting more interested in New Age stuff lately and wanted to see if anyone here is into it too. For anyone who's not familiar with it, New Age is basically a broad mix of spiritual beliefs and practices. Some of the more common ideas are: reincarnation and past lives karma and spiritual lessons energy and vibrations manifestation / Law of Attraction chakras and the aura meditation and raising your consciousness the idea of a higher self or higher consciousness soul contracts and having a purpose in life spiritual evolution astrology, tarot, crystals, etc. Obviously not everyone who considers themselves "New Age" believes in all of these things. It's pretty broad and people seem to take different parts of it. It has helped me a lot with my existential crisis.

I've been studying this, and I now understand that my soul may have pre-planned this difficult life to grow and evolve spiritually through suffering. I hope things get better in this earthly life, but if not, I trust my next life will be better.
