Will Mayhem Requiem be eligible for next year's Grammys?

Also I know some of you are upset GodGa didn't win, but plz don't minimize Bad Bunny's achievements or art. I know some of y'all don't speak Spanish so y'all don't understand, but it's not a cute look. Benito and his album also deserve to be celebrated

SOTY - Billie

we should be celebrating a certain MAGA-acting base losing instead of letting them spin this into a loss for us. A little monster literally won AOTY and made us all proud

I don't really know why we have to get all miserable about it tho. This changes nothing, MAYHEM won 3 Grammys and Gaga is a 16x Grammy Award winner which is absolutely insane.

Anyways, I'm not in the mood to argue with fellow liddos about this, but don't be surprised when LG8 leans into that style of performance over traditional dance pop choreo. Don't act shocked when she promotes her next album and does a mini-tour or something and she goes in that direction for its visuals as opposed to Mayhem 2.0. It's very clear she's teasing something in that vein. And I wouldn't be surprised if that next electronic project becomes her most acclaimed yet.

I share the same vision and agree with your predictions. My pop heart would shatter a little bit, but I rest assured knowing that Gaga goes ham in everything she does.

The thing about Gaga in GF while she is in the forefront of popular music and most people know she is undeniably talented and does something that is so uniquely her, something nobody else can bring, that still somewhat makes what she does niche. To get the majority in a voting committee in the GF when she is and always has been divisive is what makes it near impossible. If you told me in 2014 that Gaga had three realistic chances at winning ROTY/SOTY (abracadabra, shallow, DWAS) I wouldn't of believed you, so anything is possible, she definitely could win it in the future, but it does sting. AOTY feels harder, mayhem was definitely her best shot since TF/M, but who knows! She's on top of her game rn

I just don't understand the discrepancy with Gaga's GF track record compared to Taylor, Adele and Billie's.

We knew where she stands regardless of if she said it, that's not the point. The point is using her voice.

I hope she's not demotivated to create pop masterpieces like Mayhem. I'd say to push further and be more bold and experimental.

On the bright side, is anyone else excited about the electro industrial synth direction she seems to be teasing? I feel a synth wave, electro, industrial opus coming

If the Grammy voting period was still going through the Oscars for Shallow and DWAS had more time to dominate then yeah I feel they were likely the closet chances she had to winning.
