Woke up to no GF win but then watched the performance and whew

3 overall wins for MAYHEM is such an amazing accomplishment regardless. I 100% believe Gaga will release a song at some point that will tick all the boxes for the voters. In the end it really is just politics. Who knows it could be the Weeknd collab that's gonna get her a GF win. I feel like she just keeps getting better since Mayhem. I won't be surprised if LG8 is even better. Manifesting an AOTY grammy for LG8. Okay now time for bed.

The most baffling part is how she's actually appreciated for her talents by people outside of her primary profession. Like wdym she has a total of 4x Oscar nominations and 1x win and is the 2nd most nominated musician at the Oscars in history across 7 years of activity but now has 14x consecutive GF losses despite having some of the biggest smashes oat in almost 3x the time? just nasty behavior. There are some really odd, artist-specific industry biases in place here, that shouldn't even exist all these years later yet here we are.

I don't buy this whole "she needs to build a broader coalition to win" thing. That's exactly what she's been doing for like, a decade. And they still find a way to do her dirty in the end. She needs to continue listening to her intuition and following her own muse. That's what will create her best work. These voters need to realize her greatness and stop being stuck up weirdos who cannot digest anything to the left of mainstream sensibilities or what can't be played as toothless background music. What she needs to figure out is how to make these voters bend the knee to her, not the other way round, which is a losing game for her at least. And the more feasible path to do that, as she starts to lose commercial steam with age, would be to use her kooky brain power to its fullest to become artistically undeniable and churn out more ambitious, fearless masterpieces.

She's so passionate about music again and her performance just made me so much more excited for Requiem and #LG8. Mayhem era has been truly a dream so far and while it should have been crowned more gloriously last night, it's still pretty amazing what she's able to accomplish this deep into her career.

Disappointed.

She flew from Japan to LA, had to prepare for a performance in just two days, with Abra and MAYHEM as frontrunners, and yet the Scammys still wouldn't give her the GF. She should have won 3 awards as a consolation prize. She's never winning GF again, She was ROBBED by the Academy from the start of her career, preventing her from being nominated for BNA.

She should pull the weeknd,

She's finishing her 30s with 16 Grammys, an Oscar, a BAFTA, and an Emmy, and her most successful tour to date (plus a great relationship). Hope she rests well these next 2 weeks or so before tackling the final leg of the tour

If she coudn't do that with 'Shallow', the ASIB soundtrack, 'Love 4 Sale' and a mega smash with a Grammy darling, now with her first +80 acclaimed album coming from a big year of huge events like Copacabana, it's simply not happening when they rather give to Billie Elish her 7th GF instead.

We should simply move on from the Grammys argument at this point.

I don't think it's all as much doom and gloom with Grammys. sure, it suсks she didn't get any GF wins this time, but I'm certain she will have a big Grammy night in the future. she's too talented, determined and hardworking not to have one. the Academy people will eventually bend the knee and recognize her for the legend she is.

Kendrick winning 8 (?) Grammys in just 2 years feels so undeserved, plus 2 ROTY back-to-back. Was there really no other nominee more deserving? So much for "sharing the love".

Gaga and BB were campaigning hard, while Kendrick just stood there doing nothing, yet still walked away with one of the biggest awards of the night.

There's nothing left to submit. As far as I know, if an album wins a Grammy, it can't be submitted again the following year.
