Yeah I don't think the Grammys hate her since she has 16 (!!!) wins. She just has the opposite circumstances of someone like Billie: popularity with the pop block but less cross-genre voting block appeal. Also they really should milk the overdue narrative hard in the future. I'll just hope she racks up more Grammy wins in the future and hopefully achieves EGOT at some point.

on the bright side...maybe this snub is going to make her want to focus on other ways of feeling artistic achievement. Like instead of thinking if this is good enough maybe shell start thinking "who cares" and be even more experimental or more commercially ambitious as well? It will be interesting to see where LG8 and LG9 will go. Is she going to want to focus on getting gratification through more commercial success since maybe a main category win is out of the question for a long while or is she gonna be even more experimental and counter culture which will prob lead to less commercial success and maybe not much critical cache either but at least gives her personal artistic gratification on another level? idk I am curious. Cuz let's be real...winning grammys especially big grammys are clearly still a big deal for Gaga but maybe this can be freeing for her to either more blatently pursuing commercial success or of going super niche and experimental. let's see!

I agree somewhat about the outfit. The boddess itself was sickening, but her headpiece (while equally sickening) was not fitting for a performance. It blocked a major part of her face, making it hard to connect with her as an audience.

The headpiece would be better off used in a photoshoot, runway or in paparazzi shots when leaving a hotel.

I really liked the performance idea! But I feel like they could've done more with that robotic camera. Then again, being literally in Japan just two days ago probably limited what was possible. She's 39, and dealing with jet lag on top of that.

Anyway, Mayhem Requiem, US dates, and the World Cup anthem with The Weeknd are coming.

Gaga should just take the Abel route moving forward and never attend again. She's got her 16x for the Wikipedia page, now it's time to stop letting them use her for ratings.

Gaga has tried everything in the book to get a GF win and had ended up with nothing. The sooner we understand she does not fit any narrative the Grammy pushes with their winners the sooner we stop hoping for a win.

Her identity as an artist sits in a very weird place- too underdog to fit in with the vanilla winners and too vanilla to fit in with the underdogs.

yeah, i think she (and her label/team) need to rethink how they campaign in the future. luckily this snub will be the ammo she needs to push the overdue narrative.
