People saying Gaga need to be so serious. She's far from washed up and has the stats to prove it. Just because she's not pulling Taylor Swift numbers or pulling TFM numbers today, that doesn't make her washed up. Expecting artists to constantly be at their peak commercially or else they're washed up is insane. Washed up artists don't send their new solo studio albums to #1. They don't win Grammys in their genre's big categories. They don't have consistent sell-out touring demand in arenas/stadiums. Washed up artists don't headline Coachella. Edit: if Bruno was the reason for DWAS's success, why can't he replicate the same record-breaking achievements with his solo music? Bruno has a few collabs released in the last couple years that flopped as well. Keep coping about ASIB too. Gaga has solo songs on that album that did amazing such as ARUTW (1.9b streams) and INLA (over 700 million streams between versions). Bradley's solo songs streams are a blip by comparison.

My thoughts To summarize: I think they're on a similar trajectory when you compare Ariana's first 13 years to Gaga's first 12 years and their overall success all things considered and where they're sitting. Ariana is similarly also showing signs of wanting to take a step back from the nonstop grind of a pop star life just like Gaga did after Chromatica. Gaga took five years between the release of Chromatica and Mayhem, but to be fair she was constantly giving us tidbits here and there to tide us over such as House of Gucci, Love for Sale, Las Vegas residency, Dawn of Chromatica, Hold My Hand, Chromatica Ball tour, filming Joker 2, and of course her pharmaceutical bs too

Not only are liddos still trying it with the chaos angel bs and fake AI leaks, but now they're making up stuff that was supposedly said on here. Also Miss Unitankso is spreading more fake info from the voices in their head. This hiatus is getting worse by the day oh lord

The way y'all are still mad and pressed over DWAS. Oh Smash With A Smile It was such an effortless smash too. They barely put any effort into promoting it and it's one of the biggest hits of the decade. I'd be mad too.

Joanne truly suffered from not being sure of itself. It didn't commit to the bit. Mark Ronson didn't help by making her remove hooks to make the songs sound less like her. Apparently another man involved with making the album also told Gaga she needed to drop pop/dance music if she ever wanted to be taken seriously by critics. Just so much mess in her head and she was vulnerable after ARTPOP lashings. The album suffered from insecurity and being unsure of itself as a result. There's still some gems on it though (Diamond Heart, John Wayne, Dancin' In Circles, Perfect Illusion, Million Reasons)

I agree, it's tired and both ladies have proven themselves. Unfortunately people from both sides and even just spectators love to keep beating a dead horse.
