Seeing Madonna on stage with Sabrina Carpenter makes me a bit sad that she was never able to do something like that with Gagachick3

Maybe I'm being naive, but I like to think that deep down, she might regret how she handled things back then and doesn't want to repeat that pattern with newer pop stars.

I mean, it's not like she has never been supportive before. What Madonna has done with Sabrina isn't brand new. She did it with other female pop stars before, during, and after the whole reductive/MDNA mess. She handled Gaga's breakout that way for a reason we can only fairly guess.

thank god for that... some of those collab handpicked by madonna in the last two decades were truly something else... swae lee, quavo, anitta, nikkki minaj, LMFAO, etc.

Except that is literally contradicted by the fact that it's the first time she didn't have a production credit for any of the original tracks and executive producer credit for the entirety of a studio album. The only tracks where she is credited are the interludes, which makes sense because she was in a slightly better (albeit still terrible) place by then and the interludes were all created towards the end of the album creation process.

Let's not forget that she even told us how on her birthday he told her the songs she had made don't sound Gaga enough (or something along those lines) and it made her second guess herself because she had lost confidence and was beaten down battling her nasty inner demons. Most of Chromatica's sterilized production is in fact a choice made by the producers after several iterations, despite Gaga greenlighting the final product. She didn't actively participate in the production process unlike Mayhem that followed right after and it shows.

Do you remember all those tweets about her not washing at the end of 2019 and being forced in the studio dies then during the promo cycle she was like 'my pain was healed during the process' yeah sounds like it. She partily got better because she got a new relationship imo

Anyways I'm looking forward to new music already, can't believe she released a new single last week it really came and went doc

if that means she can keep extending the total grossing for the Jazz & Piano tour (110M+) then why the hell not during her break from the pop scene... and hopefully it's a really limited run tho

I can already feel it… 2027 return to Vegas residency… no new music in sight… rumors of her starting from scratch her creative process… Haus Labs ads… MCU role… Mayhem Requiem dropped in the middle of the year to no fanfare… Fun Tonight getting discovered in TikTok forcing her to go into deeper hiding… please wake us from this nightmare

To be fair though, I don't think that was from Bloodpop's call. Recall that when Boys Noize did that interview in 2018 (?) and spilled the beans that he was working on LG6, he mentioned Gaga bought a Moog Modular Synthesizer...we don't know what the production credits are on the Chromatica demos, but to buy a very expensive synthesizer for the sole purpose to not use it in production (when she could just use her producer's gears/equipment if she wanted to) tells me that they were at least planning on her being involved at some point. To have most of the tracks reworked that much over a period of 2 years makes me think the label wasn't pleased with the sound/direction (either they didn't think it was pop enough or they wanted more "mainstream" [producers to touch the tracks).

Anyways, that's all for my Chromatica analysis for now rogue2

Did Boys Noize spill water on it? Maybe it broke and that ended their working relationship

maybe you're onto something. Boys Noize wouldn't foot the bill, which altered the trajectory of GawGaw's career forever rogue2

Something very sinister must have transpired in that studio or that damn chain-smoking spot of a porch to strip all the grit and muscle off that FW demo production and end up in... that compressed state doc (yeah, I'll never get over it sns)

I like how there are two clear camps with their appreciation/complaints about the production and both are like #ThankYouBloodpop.

his production shines when he gets to do gritty stuff, not when lady gaga wants grittiness merged with her pop sound. this is a hot take in base but bloodpop is not at fault for chromatica sounding watered down when he's a very maximalist producer. gaga is the executive in the room and she gets the final say, period

He literally is at fault for ruining Sawayama as well and it sounds exactly like Chromatica's watered down generic beats rip

I've streamed it two times already today. Need to step your ***** up.

The new music she was speaking of was obviously for TDWP. LG8 doesn't exist, back to jazz duds for us. While other pop stars prioritise releasing studio albums, we will be lucky to get one every 5 years atp. Taylor will be on her 18th album, Ariana on her 10th by the time LG8 releases.. she really loves torturing us sometimes monkey

The worst part about her jazz shows is it literally just be a covers show.. genuinely what is the purpose of that? And any original music she turns into a jazz rendition quite frankly sounds like ass dancehall3
