What? The color in that image is clearly altered and edited, it looks cinematic af. She's supposed to be stuck at home doing regular chores and then she gets bored and steps out the house and the images we see are automatically more colorful. It's supposed to be grey-ish so there's a contrast with the other images. The idea is perfectly conveyed. It's basically the same concept they used for The Wizard of Oz or the outside/inside of The Garden of Earthly Delights.

I love when she's experimental.

But I hate when it's the only thing she ever releases.

I swear there was a point in time people were excited for her features and when they hear it . . . it's another one of those that don't have anything for people to hang onto. Now no one cares when she does features, it's like, "OK, what weird sound are we gonna hear this time?".

She doesn't even need us to give the film versions of the video. Just do it like Madonna did for Bring Your Love. Have a separate "music video version" and leave the poems and narrative and all the inconsistent aspect ratio edits (which we know she will do) in the film version.

I do. Andrew is currently both directing and creative-directing all of the 1-minute visuals Chloe and Timbaland are putting out right now... so I don't think he went too far. He's also done some work with Normani as well.

Beyoncé has supported other people in her team opening their own agencies and then becoming their first contracted artist (her longtime A&R Teresa LaBarbera Whites did something similar before coming back to work with Chloe Bailey, and I have a feeling her main tour videographer Ben Hagarty has done the same thing).

TBH, I like the muted colors. It plays into the mod-era, retro, early space exploration motifs we've seen with the Westerns and the Echoville newspaper. Very Hanna-Barbera (The Jetsons), The Twilight Zone, or The Incredibles.
