Seeing videos of another current tour (doesn't even matter whose) that has them turned on; the experience looks so much more complete and immersive when they're in use. Having them as large, empty black silhouettes filling large areas of the venue instead is just awkward and incomplete-looking and it's somewhat baffling that an artist with Bey's attention to detail hasn't caught on to this.

The shows make plenty of profit and she has plenty of money. Why not just pay for their use?

i think shes following es devlin philosophy from the fwt stage, make her the center of the production with the huge screen behind, so the people would look at her instead of the stadium screens (or something like that idk)

kinda fuckd up for those with cheap tickets but anyways

the first time in over a decade where she actually announces projects they are either : taking ages and are rolled out in the most excruciatingly boring way possible, deleted from existence after a short release or scrapped and not released at all

she might as well go back to surprise releases, cause wtf was the point of announcing things that weren't ready to begin with ? you never announce anything but the one time you do nothing's ready and it's a **** fest behind the scenes ?

The way how the visuals are something I don't think about and don't think will ever be released. I'm at peace with that, just give us act iii next year and retire in peace Giselle.

Wether she decided to reshot or scrap the visuals… I actually trust her vision, she's great with visuals

I think that one insider in here told us she was still working on visual in February tho.

i mean she did the same thing to khalil joseph where she shot a whole movie with him and then chopped it up and added in a bunch of other stuff and that pissed him off.

doesn't mean the visual is entirely scrapped. just that she didn't like nadia's work ( @QueenB was right about that )

it doesn't but it's been half a decade and we haven't seen anything and she hasn't mentioned anything visuals related in years so it's safe to assume they most likely were scrapped

and whether they are fully scrapped or not doesn't even really matter, we're clearly never gonna see anything that was teased so far and if something does get released it's not gonna look like anything from 2022

literally all of this is speculation

youre saying we're not getting whats been teased but she very clearly included visual elements that we saw in the ITG teaser in the trailer interlude at CCT. (the house, the red cowboys, that pink room where shes on the exercise bike). if all of that was scrapped, there would be no reason to include any of that in the CCT visuals. she shot tons of new stuff for the tour. there would be no reason to connect the eras visually if there was NO visual at all.

so while it might not be the original iteration she planned on releasing, nobody knows that it's "not going to look like ANYTHING we've seen" especially when she's used the same visuals across two different eras thus far:

is not edited but in the mv shes looking to the other way so you can see it at all

Renaissance is almost four years old. For context, when Lemonade turned four, we were in the thick of the pandemic - imagine if that's when we'd gotten the visual for it. That's a long time, and I don't know how you make visuals for a project that old interesting to the average consumer. II

I'm at peace with whatever happens... I'd say I want her to release MVs for act iii in a timely manner, but that would contradict her earlier statement about letting the music speak for itself and look wishy-washy.

I wish someone else would leak something about the behind the scenes discussions and what's up. Clearly, something has gone awry, but we don't know the extent of it. They may've already figured it out and have a plan, or that could be part of the hold-up with act iii if they don't know what to do.

I think they quietly parted ways, but he has an NDA, and any of the material they worked on together belongs to her, not him. She wouldn't need to reshoot anything he did for her.

Probably the same with Nadia, which could be behind the apparent bad blood. Someone else and I already said it, but she really upset Khalil Joseph by taking his Lemonade work and intercutting it with new visuals from other directors when she realized it was too avant-garde for a major pop star release.

It seems like maybe she encountered the same issue again, but it's all speculation.

no, andrew doesn't work for parkwood anymore. we got confirmation of that when he updated his linkedin page. he runs his own agency now.

I'd unfollow her too.

Act 3 will get no visual either. She has become the worst

uh no, i gave supporting evidence that there is a visual link between acts i and ii, and that includes visuals that were created by nadia. you literally just said we wouldn't ever see anything from the nadia visuals that were teased in 2022, yet we literally were shown new stuff from it in the CCT trailer interlude, 3 years after the fact....

clearly she isn't scrapping everything when we also know for a fact she shot a bunch of NEW stuff for CCT and yet still used the old nadia footage anyway.

if beyonce scraps something, we NEVER see it (the original B+J joint album, the fela kuti album from 2011, the put it in a love song video). she has never been that sloppy to scrap something and then tease it in an official capacity. that's literally why she put a stop to the khalil cut of lemonade screening a couple weeks ago and why we have never seen it.

you can be cynical and doom and gloom all you want, but it doesn't make it factual information, especially when we have been shown visuals that negate what you said

we don't know what happened with b & nadia to make them part ways. but we have seen her collaborate with a single director and then go back and add other collaborators to it. she literally did that with lemonade and khalil was not pleased.

If it made sense for any tour it would be FWT with the domination of the monolith and the fact that it was so long and tall compared with stadium screens which are wide. The shots would have looked quite different. Still wouldn't have been bad.

Every tour since tho including OTR ii it's just looked awkward and like a cop out for paying a fee. It would have only added to the feeling that you're still in the party at Renaissance in particular to those outside Club Renny.

the big screens were on at my RWT shows in LA. i truly think its a decision made in the moment.

You can't blame Nadia for feeling some type of way. Hopefully she keeps it behind closed doors. But Imagine all the hours she would have put into that project only to be scrapped.
