Yes, precisely. Gaga has been doing this dance-adjacent sound for so long that her fans are used to it. The GP are used to it and will never be excited by it. Compare that to Madonna and Beyoncé who are genre chameleons. Everything they do will always have a genuine level of excitement attached to it. The few times Gaga did stray away from her usual sound (Joanne, Harlequin), there was genuine excitement in the beginning --- only for her to fumble that by selecting the worst singles and not cutting off filler (like why is "Come to Mama" and "Hey Girl" even in that album lol)

Because Gaga has been making the same dance/EDM/electropop sound for almost two decades at this point. Extending that to include house will always just feel and sound "samey". Gaga should've done classic rock a long time ago. Not Joanne BS pop rock. But actual classic rock, like she's done with Brown Eyes / Speechless / You and I / Dope. She obviously has the chops. But dance music for her is just old, tired, and boring. Die With a Smile actually gave her a very good starting point with this sound, but alas, she wasted it and tacked it on to an album where it sonically just didn't belong. I understand that Little Monsters don't want to hear that because they want her to keep making pop music, but doing a little detour will do wonders for her career and give her artistic credibility to the GP.
