The wooden box for a 1000$ This is where I draw the line
  6. What is exactly your point here? Framing Beyoncé controlling her narrative as anti-authenticity is such a tired narrative. Can we just say that the show doesn't align with how Beyoncé chooses to communicate her work (and herself) and that a polite no from Parkwood just proves she has clear boundaries?
  7. Because no one of the new gen pop girls performs like this
  8. That video is just… Anne Marie ahh video
  9. What's your definition of a superstar then?
  10. Now don't get me wrong sistrens, I genuinely think Zara Larsson has the total package, but... wheres the good music? Her trajectory has been really interesting to watch (especially in the last year or so), with the dolphin meme basically resurrecting her career, then Lush life smashing again years after, and I think she's being very smart about turning herself into a live pop star. Massive festivals, big stages, constant visibility, she/her team knows exactly what they're doing. She's bubbly, outspoken, naturally funny, authentically herself, an amazing dancer, has incredible stage presence, and her voice is in my humble opinion one of the best from the newer pop girlies. When she's on stage or making her silly little TikTok videos, I completely get why people fall in love with her. I mean I really do love her as well. But then you go to the music, and where is it? It just falls flat to me. Nothing stands out (although I love Midnight Sun and Crush), not necessarily because it's bad, but because so much of it feels like it could have literally been made by any girl. I'm just really over the maximalist and overproduced music where everything is trying to grab your attention and somehow none of it ends up having any identity. I wonder if this is going to be a Sabrina Carpenter situation where the actual artistic identity comes (about 5 albums) later, because I do believe Zara's in the midst of crafting a new & stronger image. Her music is just waiting for something that just... clicks. I don't think she needs to become another tortured singer-songwriter or radically reinvent herself, but I do wonder.. what's taking so long for her to figure out what her sound is? Where's the good music when there's SO much personality? I just want the music to feel as distinctive and excellent as she is. Am I just completely missing the appeal of her discography, or do you think she's missing something as well?
  11. That's one of my fave Renee songs Wish she'd go back to that kind of sound
