HBHBHB is her absolute peak on every choice til now. 

 

DF and HAH have the "worst" lead single choices.

Ugh, hard choice between Shake It Out and What Kind Of Man, both 10/10 masterpieces. 

 

I don't think A Sky Full Of Song was a strong decision as a lead single although it's a good song.

Oh this is hard  I was between Shake it Out and What Kind of a Man, but there's something about King that I just can't ignore it, so I'm gonna go with that one 

What Kind Of Man is the best song ever made so that 

King > Sky Full of Song > Shake It Out > Everybody Scream > What Kind of Man > Kiss With a Fist

 

I've always considered Kiss With a Fist and Sky Full of Song promo singles, though. I think Dog Days and Hunger are the "real" LEAD singles of those eras. Just like What Kind of Man is the lead instead of HBHBHB.

I'll always say that What Kind of Man is genuinely one of the best songs of all time: still to this day, the angry, aggressive rock crescendo that gloriously EXPLODES in the last epic minute is mindblowing 

 

I think Hunger feels more like the actual HIH lead, since SFOS is more of a What The Water Gave Me/HBHBHB promo single, but if I were to rank them:

 

WKOM >> (Hunger) > SIO > ES = SFOS > KWAF > King

Anyway, HBHBHB's lead single

My top three leads are What Kind of Man, King and Everybody Scream.

I will need some more time to decide which one is my favorite. Leaning towards King.

But since its multiple choice, I'm voting for those albums respectively and voting for Lungs as the worst lead.

Not voting for High As Hope as worst because even though Sky Full of Song isn't my favorite, I think its a good representation of the album so to me that marks it as a good lead.

They're literally all perfect  SFOS just a little less than the rest

 

King > WKOM > SIO > Everybody Scream > KWAF > SFOS

Shake It Out and What Kind of Man are her best leads. Amazing songs from amazing albums.

shake it out and what kind of man are best, i secretly think of dog days as the lead single to the first album tho cos it's an era that drags on a long time without much happening (and i would rather do so, KWAF is a bit mid in comparison). king is really good actually

All I know is that Kiss With a Fist was a huge mistake. Dogs Days Are Over should have been the lead to that album.

There's something so endearing with SFOS and Hunger back to back idkw.

 

Obviously, my vote goes for WKOM.

Ngl I always wonder what goes through your mind when you formulate polls cause somehow the answers always make me question what I actually want to vote for

Shake It Out because it was my introduction to her 

I know it wasn't a single but What The Water Gave Me was actually the first release off of Ceremonials so that would win for me 

Kiss With a Fist is definitely the worst but I'm less sure about ranking the others, I'd probably say

 

1. Shake It Out (I'm basic for this but it's a masterpiece)

2. King (I didn't love this at first but it really grows on you)

3. What Kind of Man (it's great, I just like the 2 above better)

4. ASFOS (lowkey kinda underrated)

5. Everybody Scream (I need more time with it)

6. Kiss With a Fist (not terrible, just outclassed)

 

If Hunger is the lead instead, move it up between King and WKOM
