  1. The ArchAndroid The Fame Monster Body Talk Speak Now Solider of Love
  2. Amazing song on an amazing album. With it smashed but not shocked it didn't.
  3. These certs are like the rough equivalent of 18x Platinum (for One Kiss) and 15x Platinum in the US. I'm not surprised she's the only one at all. Insane numbers.
  4. Melodrama is one of my favourite albums ever so I agree it's way up there.
  5. Rodeo is one of my favourite albums ever while I think 808s is Kanye's worst solo project until like 2018. I voted for Rodeo for all.
  6. Kendrick's worst output is better than Drake's best. (That's a slight exaggeration as Drake has a handful of great tracks that might outrank Kendrick's worst). Kendrick also decimated him in the beef. Drake is one of the biggest artists ever in terms of commercial success so even though I think Kendrick is one of the greatest musicians ever, Drake wins the success poll. Kendrick has also had a massive career as well though.
  7. Ngl, I'm not loving what I've seen and heard from this era so far at all.
  8. The New recurrent rules were highly requested by a majority of chart watchers before they were implemented amd they were pretty well received when they were announced. They're also fully necessary in the streaming age or the chart would be a stagnant mess. Many songs that people assume are driven extremely heavily by radio, aren't. Lose Control, as an example, was receiving a smaller share of its chart points from radio throughout much of the latter half of its chart run than many of the songs that people were crashing out about Lose Control blocking. While AC radio did play a massive role in its run (AC has always been an annoyance tbh, this isn't new), it was also very healthy on streaming. A lot of the complaints about radio contributions to particular songs aren't justified by the facts. Impossible when there's no distinction between singles and non-singles anymore.
  9. Body Say is a great track.
  10. Rodeo is one of my favorite albums ever. Astroworld, Days and Utopia are a distance behind but still good. The others stuck
  11. Sorry Not Sorry could be be nearing 9 million RIAA units. It's already over 10 million with UGC-equivalents added in which aren't a significant share of its consumption.
  12. 21 is slightly better but they're both amazing.
  13. Cool for the Summer. But Style from that list.
  14. TLOP is great but Rodeo is one of my favourite albums ever, even if it does have a few lowlights. Its high points soar insanely high.
  15. Aren't there actually master ringtone RIAA certifications, just separated from digital and physical certs?
  16. I hope it does and I think it has a good chance to but I also wouldn't be shocked if it didn't.
  17. She probably cares at least a little bit. I mean, she held an "all time" record which is obviously really amazing to have for yourself. She isn't chart or numbers obsessed though so I doubt she's losing even a single second of sleep over it. I think she's always just wanted to have a successful career doing what she loves to do on her own terms, and she's done that and much more and will continue to do that. You can care a bit without being bitter or obsessed.
  18. I'm sure Adele's next album will be a big success. And honestly expecting her to push for anything more than that is so unrealistic that it isn't even worth discussing.
  19. Idk why anyone would be shocked. The demonization of this man on ATRL has been so weird.
  20. Yeah, I'll have to go with 25 for all
  21. I'd say Taylor. Adele is a legendary artist with an incredible discography but I feel that her performance style, while it has its place for sure, wouldn't quite suit the Super Bowl.
  22. And let me be clear: I also agree wholeheartedly with this. But this fact doesn't negate the other opinions I've expressed in this thread.
  23. Yes, I'm willing to bet money on it. Don't get me wrong, A LOT of that demographic is completely lost. But many of them can be moved. You're talking again about Dems abandoning straight masculine men and even completely disavowing them and once again I ask, where would that leave the Dems (or the left, or the liberals, or the progressives, or the democratic socialists, or whatever other identity) except deep in the political and electoral wilderness by banishing the single largest or second largest demographic in the US?
  24. He said nothing wrong. Looking at the responses in this thread and the automatic correlation of "masculine/straight men" with "racism, misogyny and homophobia" is exactly what he was talking about. If the left is willing to completely disassociate with such a massive part of the population instead of trying to win them over (and I firmly believe a lot of them can be won over without compromising core left values) then they'll continue to struggle electorally and remain on the political fringes.
  25. I mean, they've been outselling him since 2018. Only one of their albums (2021's Scaled and Icy) has debuted with fewer units than his highest debuting album in that period.
