  1. Into You and Cool for the Summer are phenomenal songs.
  2. Which decades are you speaking of? If it's the past 30 or so years where China has managed to maintain their rate of economic development at a stage where comparable economies have petered out, it's very arguable that it was a conditional embrace of the free market and an opening up of the economy that has allowed that to happen. Also, the term "fixed" is so subjective. Many could very easily arguable that China is no more "fixed" today than the US is. Who's going to force them to educate themselves? What do we do while we wait for that to happen?
  3. You're absolutely correct on that. And that fact actually backs up my point and works directly against yours. Appealing to half of the Democratic base and pushing away the entire "average voter" population cannot be the strategy to win elections. Whether or not the average voter understands the nuances (or even the just surface) of the policies, positions and keywords they're voting for doesn't change the fact that they're going to vote a certain way.
  4. Yeah but you're picking and choosing which polls to show in your OP to back up your views to a mostly already converted group of ATRLers who bother to even read your threads for these exact reasons. The same set of polling also found that Americans overwhelmingly prefer a free market system and have a much higher net favourable view of capitalism than socialism. As a matter of fact, I think these polls are showing a less favourite view of the term "socialism" than what I've seen from some other polls, which is kinda disappointing.
  5. How would streaming represent what's "current" (relatively new) if people are streaming older songs? Are you saying streaming should represent something other than what people are streaming?
  6. The ArchAndroid The Fame Monster Body Talk Speak Now Solider of Love
  7. Amazing song on an amazing album. With it smashed but not shocked it didn't.
  8. These certs are like the rough equivalent of 18x Platinum (for One Kiss) and 15x Platinum in the US. I'm not surprised she's the only one at all. Insane numbers.
  9. Melodrama is one of my favourite albums ever so I agree it's way up there.
  10. Rodeo is one of my favourite albums ever while I think 808s is Kanye's worst solo project until like 2018. I voted for Rodeo for all.
  11. Kendrick's worst output is better than Drake's best. (That's a slight exaggeration as Drake has a handful of great tracks that might outrank Kendrick's worst). Kendrick also decimated him in the beef. Drake is one of the biggest artists ever in terms of commercial success so even though I think Kendrick is one of the greatest musicians ever, Drake wins the success poll. Kendrick has also had a massive career as well though.
  12. Ngl, I'm not loving what I've seen and heard from this era so far at all.
  13. The New recurrent rules were highly requested by a majority of chart watchers before they were implemented amd they were pretty well received when they were announced. They're also fully necessary in the streaming age or the chart would be a stagnant mess. Many songs that people assume are driven extremely heavily by radio, aren't. Lose Control, as an example, was receiving a smaller share of its chart points from radio throughout much of the latter half of its chart run than many of the songs that people were crashing out about Lose Control blocking. While AC radio did play a massive role in its run (AC has always been an annoyance tbh, this isn't new), it was also very healthy on streaming. A lot of the complaints about radio contributions to particular songs aren't justified by the facts. Impossible when there's no distinction between singles and non-singles anymore.
  14. Body Say is a great track.
  15. Rodeo is one of my favorite albums ever. Astroworld, Days and Utopia are a distance behind but still good. The others stuck
