I recently got news that a dear friend of mine had suddenly died. And ever since, the album hits different. This guy and I dated a little back in 2020 and then we had a terrible fallout which lasted a couple of years. Until we reconnected in 2023 and remained friends. Despite the distance, he remained a hugely influential figure in my life, he literally came and totally changed my perspective of life in general and the universe. He was a huge Madonna and Kylie fan, it's sad he didn't get to hear their song. But now songs like Fragile, Betrayal, Bizarre, One Step Away, LES girl, Danceteria, even Bring Your Love and The Test (he convinced me to go to therapy and that allowed me to heal my relationship with my mom), feel a lot more personal. It's bittersweet. I am so thankful for Madonna and the beautiful art she puts out for us
