  1. Britney kinda has the least essential discography here
  2. Why bring up a song from the 90s tho? Olivia's biggest hits are on pair with any other smashes this decade, songs like Good 4 U, Drivers License, Deja Vu, Vampire are definitely known outside her fans unless you live under a rock
  3. Lungs - Ceremonials - How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful
  4. I think her Grammy submissions should be Album - AOTY, Pop Vocal The Cure - SOTY, Music Video Drop Dead - ROTY Stupid Song - Pop Solo What's Wrong With Me - Pop Duo There's probably a good chance they submit DD for both ROTY and Pop Solo tho, but it would be nice to have all singles recognized in some way
  5. It's not really fraud as in the acts/labels themselves buying it, it's just a relatively small, very obsessed and dedicated fanbase organizing to get them to the top. K-pop fan bases also see a lot of worth on "proving" that their favourite act is popular in the US for some reason, they don't put as much effort on other western markets.
  6. When people say she's kinda local is not in the sense that she's literally unknown outside the US but that the majority of her success comes from there. She's had one truly huge global era with Music Box that solidified her name everywhere, but her peers are far bigger overall in places like Europe and LATAM.
  7. These are the things keeping the vast majority of artists afloat, including Madonna for the most part of her career. When it doesn't work and the end result is the album barely charting for a month, they get rightfully called a failure, and sadly for you that's the case with Confessions II.
  8. The Madonna stans didn't get the memo apparently, as you can see by this thread they just refuse to accept the undisputed fact that the album is a flop. You can say it did well for her standards or that it at least outperformed her previous album, but it's objectively not a success.
  9. You're still trying with this nonsense? The only you can spin this as a success for Madonna is by being extremely specific and imagining a scenario that simply doesn't exist, and as I said earlier, if you want to insist on this pathetic argument I can also cherry pick and ask you which 68 yo got to leech off of Sabrina Carpenter and had a platform as big as the World Cup to promote their era for over one billion people? Madonna is in a unique position both as a granny with a dance album or whatever but also as someone with a huge machine behind them pushing the album. Cher didn't have anything close to that exposure and still managed to outchart her with a pop album released around the same age and without the advantage that the streaming era provides in terms of longevity. There has been no wig tossed around, only Madonna stans like you in deep denial, ignoring simple chart facts, and continuously being refuted. Confessions II managed a decent first week thanks to her fanbase and the nostalgia bait but quickly exited the charts because it has no hits, no lasting impact and no interest from the general public, and that's quite literally the textbook definition of a flop album for anyone who's not a delusional stan like you. Sorry for the reality check.
  10. Madonna has dreamed about that her whole life and only got razzies thrown her way btw.
  11. A forum bubble of delusional Madonna stans have no effect on what are the actual standards for chart success, and what they think about the album's quality is even less relevant for this discussion, and I won't even bother with downvotes on atrl being a sign of anything significant lmao. She's a big label artist with a huge campaign behind her album and it lasted for a month on the charts, under no circumstances it can be considered a success with this performance, no matter how many excuses yall try to come up with.
  12. I'm crying at the fact that you keep pushing this failed argument as some sort of gotcha. I'm drawing comparisons to the albums that were released under the closest circumstances (i.e. releases by pop artists at a similar or older age), and Madonna just doesn't meet the standards set by them as to what a successful album actually looks like. If you want to keep fantasizing about an imaginary dance album released by another 68 old to cope with Madonna's factual flop, go ahead, I won't entertain this delusion.
