What an outstanding record, Lorde really came through. Virgin easily clears SP and is in the same league as mega classics PH & Melo. 

 

Shapeshifter, Current Affairs, If She Could See Me Now were the immediate standouts upon first listen. I know I'm definitely gonna need time with it though, there's a LOT to chew on here. Some of the lyrics are a little too hyper specific imo but the production is just so good I can live with them.
 

SO hyped I ended up getting tickets to Ultrasound bc this album is gonna BANG live. LET'S HEAR IT FOR THE LORDE OF THE YEAR.

I saved Hammer for album release and it was the best decision ever I'm on Favourite Daughter rn and everything so far is sooooooooo good omg!

I really like the album, I need to give it more time to give my full opinion though.

 

On first listen I wasn't that impressed but had a desire to relisten and already listened to it 4 more times since. 

Wow... this is miles better than Solar Power and honestly feels like Melodrama's big sister.  She really served with this one.

Shapeshifter, GRWM and Broken Glass are my faves on first listen but every track is so good and there's such variety that I wasn't expecting. This could easily be top 2 in her discography for me

Yeah she delivered a really solid album. My first listen was kinda whelming but now it's all quickly growing on me. Lots of great production, emotional moments, and alt-pop bops. We're so back!

I kinda only really like Shapeshifter  Melodrama really did a number on me

 

I feel like the production is kind of boring and muted on this, she would've done well with someone more daring

This might be her second best album after Melodrama. Shapeshifter to Current Affairs is the best track run on this album.
