I'm not kidding when I say I've just cried while listening to "Broken Glass" THAT SONG IS SAD AF!!!!!!

I needed more What was that and some bangers ... this is more or less the same lorde nothing evolutionary nor a huge leap forward for her artistry...

Yeah this album is not for me, I only "liked" MOTY, Favorite Daughter and Broken Glass, but I don't have the urge to listen to them again, the rest of the songs were very uninteresting to me, at least sonically.

 

The only thing that's worse than being bad is being boring, and this album is BORING, her worst album in my opinion.

 

Shapeshifter is so good with headphones on. My goodness LORDe did it again!

Ngl I just noticed that 'GRWM' and MARINA's 'ADULT GIRL' are 2 sides of the same coin.

'ADULT GIRL' is an adult longing for the childhood that was taken away from them, therefore retaining their childish nature.

'GRWM' is an adult realising that said childish nature is a blessing in disguise and that there is no such thing as an actual adult/Grown Woman/Man

no like shes an ARTISTE

So this is the only album from her that i'm not vibing with. The singles grew on me, but i don't know if that is because nothing else really stood out. I like the singles now but i dont feel the urge to play them.

Other tracks are really just there with GRWM being the best one. It has some nice elements but it is far away from captivating like her other albums (yes, i mean Solar Power too). I'm not asking for another Pure Heroine/Melodrama but i expected from her captivating/dreamy melodies with a really good production. I'll give it another listen for sure, because who knows, it could grow on me. But as for now, i sadly canceled my vinyl order and will wait this one out.

The singles + the last three songs are very good.

 

SP was more instant for me.

I meant before hearing the singles. After hearing them i expected nothing much really.

This is actually so true! I'm still not really fan of the cover but it's just such a FIT for the sound. Genius!!!
