The album version jumping to #12 is crazy honestly exceeded my… expectations anyways, the timing for this remix was very poorly planned, so I'm surprised it's doing as well as it is being it's been out for months and the cure and stupid song are still doing incredibly.

I stan (of the pop girlies): JADE Lorde Olivia Rodrigo (new) That said, I like most, if not all of the pop girlies. I hate: Nicki - because she's a vile and horrible person and I'm just glad people are now finally seeing her for who she really is. Thin ice: Taylor - I have listened to all her albums, seen her live and was a casual fan of hers. I also really respected her for reclaiming her work with the TVs but she's been putting out subpar / terrible music since MIDnights and become so out of touch. Her insecurity about her own success is painfully so off-putting and tiresome. Katy - I am actually a former stan from when she more or less debuted, but burned that card during the PRISM era after she released that abomination of a Dark Horse video. Witness has a few little bops, but between her tone deafness, lack of ability to mature, and bad career move after bad career move, she's lucky she's still even in this section. OOTB and TD will of course always have a place in my heart because of the time of my life I was in, but she deserved every lashing for 143. BANKS - I stanned this girl so hard for her first three eras but she hasn't put out a good album since III. She has put out a few bops though.

The "you you you" adlibs in the chorus are like CRACK, I know she's going to eat up that Victoria's Secret performance

Meghan and Cardi

Her talent is insanely overrated to the heavens; but she obviously has talent as a songwriter, works incredibly hard and she's had a few cute vocal moments here and there. I enjoyed her live acoustic sessions in the folklore/evermore era, and she sounded pleasant when she did Wildest Dreams at the Grammy museum.

I quite like Chappell's verse but maybe I'm in the minority when I say some of her ad-libs in the final chorus are a… choice. Maybe it'll grow on me but

Honestly, they should've - it's cute they didn't but from a commercial / business standpoint, it makes sense to debut it there.

I think people are underestimating Tate. It's her lead single, the song's going to be pushed on radio and she's been getting consistently bigger with every era. That plus all the additional promo she's been doing and her serving sex appeal on the cover. Also, Olivia already has 2 songs doing big numbers on Spotify and songs on radio rotation, I worry it's going to oversaturate the audiences. Regardless, I am excited for expectations though and I hope it smashes.

She's sort of a product of the industry but she fills a void commercially that's been missed in pop music for a while. Her music might not be super reinventing the wheel but it's polished and she is an incredible performer. It's honestly refreshing to see in an industry of "humble, down to earth singer-songwriters". She has fun with what she does and she loves being a pop star and I am here for it!

I doubt she would make variants as she doesn't seem to play the chart game, but with the right song / reinvention I do think she could do 750k no problem and maybe even over a million if she is hungry.

Can't blame her for not putting the video on YouTube given views don't contribute to the Hot 100 anymore. Yes, the video has massively boosted the streams but it's only logical to premiere on the places it counts for.

I'm surprised its numbers are so high given the lack of celebrities or big moments (outside of Taylor, Madonna, Sabrina) but this is huge for MTV. I hope it means that artists will start attending more often and using it for promo again. I'm so bored of album cycles now when artists drop their album and disappear.

It's debut numbers were good but anyone pretending the second and third day numbers aren't bad is truly deranged. The single was initially launched individually and completely separate from the deluxe, with time limited and exclusive CDs, a music video premiere at the VMAs in ADDITION to a special award created for her coinciding with the release. It's being treated as the lead single of the deluxe and this is WAY after the parent album's initial single roll out. Let's not act obtuse

The video is one of her best and, honestly, has made me like the song more. Unfortunately the bridge is so painfully atrocious and the rest of the song isn't strong enough on its own to warrant more listens. They really should've made a radio edit
