Rewatching her videography and I just had to sit there for a minute after getting to ME!th. Like we often see artists just completely lose their ability to make decent decisions as their career begins a downward trend. No matter what people say about Showgirl, no song in it baffles me like ME!th does. Like, she really recorded it and thought it would make a good lead

I was really sure she was gonna announce debut tv this month....

I have been saying that problems for showgirl are not about taylor's ability but her ability to gauge if it is needed … like we get the concept of it being about her life off stage and not on stage.. but that clearly resulted in poor songs and idk why she needed it in first place but you know what …idk maybe as a writer she needed to get it off her chest … well she could have not released it tbh… that makes me think how she used to face resistance from bmr for these type of ideas , some she fought for some she let go like naming her 3rd album - speak now instead of enchanted after they resisted it… she lacks resistance right now maybe..

It's a 12th album in a very very strong first six albums. It's okay to have some VERY banal pop.

She had already finished re-recording Taylor Swift when she reclaimed her catalogue, so the assumption is that she'll make it available for fans sooner or later. Personally, I think making the entire album re-recordings available as part of a 20th year anniversary re-issue was the way to go.

She hadn't finished re-recording reputation, so fans assume that one won't see the light of day.
