But she currently has a record tied with The Beatles that she will miss for ever if she won't release this calendar year and earn a #1 album.

This reads as a charts obsessed stan but whatever, it feels like a Billboard achievement that cannot be missed.

I still think debut is coming, this interview on a monday tells me yes she wants to promo I knew it more, but I think she's finally leaning into the anniversary stuff and I'm hopeful she'll announce it by the end of the week

she really looooves the red era. Her real magnus opus

Her releasing yearly since 2019 has truly turned me into an addict. Even though I might not use it, I do hope Mixtape TV is announced soon and TS13 (hopefully a return to her lengthier albums) comes next year. I'll be content then lol

Red being described as "switching channels".

She's dog-whistling to me.

She still kinda did that "switching channels" with Lover but she wasn't too keen on discussing that album unlike Red. Glad she gave Speak Now a little shoutout!

I need a non-Red/1989/folklore stan to interview her. Her interviews are starting to sound the same because alas… the same albums and songs being asked.

Losers on this site scrambling after her incredible grammy interview and performance.

I'm dying to listen to Ophelia live redface

I'm happy some of you girls are finding some nice things to say about Showgirl… but I think we can all agree it's a far cry from what we know she's capable of.

I will happily book you a hearing test if you think Showgirl is the best example of Taylor's talents as a recording artist.

Although I did catch myself humming to Elizabeth Taylor yesterday which kinda gagged me.

like i've said before in this base, it depends what you want from her. she can do midnights, she can do 1989, and she can do an album of soft pop bangers and it's all different and fine, i think TLOAS is a fine version of what it is. personally i can do without folkmore, it frequently bores me, other people will disagree

I agree with this for the most part.

Taylor is insanely talented but she's incredibly inconsistent when it comes to pure pop. She usually (not always but usually) tends to go down one or two lanes…

The first lane is the punchy, emotionally charged cinematic pop stuff… think Style, Ophelia, Cruel Summer, Getaway Car, Out of The Woods, Delicate, Dancing With Our Hands Tied etc… like those songs almost lean into Carly territory in some respect…

And then you have the pure bubblegum lane… overly sugary sweet earworms that might be catchy but skew more annoying than anything else - London Boy, Opalite, ME!, Bejeweled, Stay Stay Stay, You Need To Calm Down, Shake It Off, Gorgeous… I really, really struggle with this particular brand of pop from Taylor and Showgirl certainly seems to lean more in this direction for the bulk of the album.

I don't think we'll be getting another Folklore style album from her for sometime and that's perfect fine… we've already got Folklore, Evermore and The Anthology to enjoy.

oh yeah i have a very sweet tooth, i'm just happy that she's serving for me a bit lmao

still working my way thru the interview but this is iconic

She really wanted to meet TSTK1. Oh Dolly, we're really gonna miss u

clap3her biggest video since the rep era

I feel like her words about Dolly reveal a lot about the sort of position she herself hopes to occupy as an artist and celebrity.

I hope there's a collab in the vault somewhere. I always dreamed of Dolly covering Our Song. weeps

Her store reset the updates today (it might've been a security update) and now has a new update pending gaycat2

The more I think about it, the more obvious it becomes that she'll submit I Knew It for SOTY... Not because she thinks it has a better chance at winning than Ophelia, but because any little exposure it can get will help its Oscar chances, and the Grammy nominations usually come out right before the Oscar noms are decided. She will sacrifice a potential SOTY win for better Oscar odds, and I won't blame herchick1

It will not happen on Dolly's week.
