Solar Power did not have a bad reception, it had amazing reception. That was the album not the song.

No, the song had bad reception too sis. Not "panned", but the general consensus was "oh!…..I mean…it's okay…it'll make sense within the album". It was a dud among the fanbase and the GP bc it was a boring song in a style so different to what Lorde is known for

 

Edit: I hope this isn't taken too shadily; I'm mostly just having fun. But I get what you mean that it was well reviewed by critics, but we're talking about Spotify numbers/chart success which is a reflection of what the GP and fanbase thinks of the song, and the numbers (huge debut and then quick massive falloff) proved it had a bad reception among them (sadly)
